This is one of my favorite Tolkien quotes. It’s a simple reminder that wandering is a part of life’s journey. It is through the process of wandering that we fully embrace life. We learn and we grow. We know the joy that comes from from new things, new people and new places. We fight dragons and see magical things on our journey. So where will you wander to today?
Just a mid week reminder that not everything is within our control. True wisdom lies in knowing when we can or can’t and in knowing the difference.. Quite often the best thing that we can do is step back and just let things unfold without forcing or struggling. Just breathe and let things be today…..
Just a reminder today about self care. This is an area we often neglect. Take a moment to just breathe. Think of something silly, or sexy, or soothing. Just a minute of your time. Focus, relax and breathe……………………….
A simple reminder about gratitude today. We are truly blessed and our lives contain so many things to be grateful for. However, sometimes we forget this. Find pleasure in the simple things today. Look for inspiring moments and find beauty in the smallest of things!
Today’s thought is a reminder eliminating drama and creating boundaries. We often have people in our lives who simply create stress. Sometimes it done intentionally and sometimes it just happens. The key lies in knowing the difference. If someone is constantly pushing your buttons because they get a kick from upsetting you then maybe it’s time to let them go. Your peace of mind is worth more than someone else’s drama.
Our goals and dreams are important. However we often let them slide because we become focused on why something won’t work, or isn’t right. We become SO focused on these WON’TS that we forget about looking for our ONE GOOD THING. That one good thing is a building block for “I can make this work!” So toss aside the won’t and start building with your WILL!
As much as we would like to be in control of every situation we must be mature enough to know that that’s not possible. Acceptance happens when we realize and understand this and stop trying to manipulate the people and events in our lives. Inner peace happens when we learn to go with the flow and let things happen. Remember…. work with what you can and step back from what you can’t. All things have a way of working themselves out.
Your words have power. How we speak to ourselves and to others helps to create our reality. Our quote today reminds us to speak with kindness and generosity. This is important if we want to create beautiful and wonderous things. The things we desire like peace , love, inclusion, equality, compassion and illumination can be found if we use our words to create positives. Pay attention to how you speak today and use your words to create a bridge that unites yourself to others.
Life isn’t always easy and sometime difficulties seem to crop up like weeds or stones. So I guess you could say that life is like gardening. To make it beautiful you must get your hands dirty, put your back into it, pull some weeds and envision the finished landscape. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and fill your life with glorious color. So how does YOUR garden grow?
