Mind Body Green: How Being Present In Your Grief Can Help You Move Beyond It
The fabric of humanity is made of many threads of emotional experience. One of those is grief. None of us are exempt from the grips of grief, and at some point on the journey of life, we’ll be faced with the death of a dear friend, parent, pet, spouse, or child. And actually, it’s this shared sense of grief that exists as the common denominator between human hearts. Grief penetrates the depths of our hearts, sinking into the recesses of our inner life. The path of mindfulness offers us a powerful way to turn toward our darkness to reignite our light for living.

Patheos-Pagan: Building a Home Shrine
I spent the weekend building a home shrine. All this time and I’ve never really had one, at least not intentionally. There are plenty of sacred spaces in the house, don’t get me wrong. I have special tabletops and shelves that tend to accumulate meaningful objects, and I have a working altar in my bedroom. Our coven’s altar is erected fresh every time we have circle. I also maintain an altar to Freya, so it’s not that I’m necessarily lacking in sacred space.

Inner Journey: Imagine Your ideal Future
“Your imagination is your preview to life’s coming attractions.”
— Albert Einstein
If you were to create an ideal future for yourself, what would it be like?
All things that now exist in form were once simply ideas in consciousness. We each hold the power to manifest different circumstances for our lives. If we wish to manifest a new reality for ourselves, we need to consistently focus our imagination on the ideals we seek to realize.
Remember to explore your ideal in terms of qualities, not people or things. What qualities do you most want in life? Freedom? Respect? Playfulness? Abundance? Whatever qualities you seek, imagine experiencing them now and be open to new ways to discover those qualities appearing in your life.
“Change is created by those whose imaginations are bigger than their circumstances”

MNN: Why ‘lazy’ lawn mowers are heroes for bees
There’s no shame in an unmowed lawn. Not only can wild yards and gardens look better than commonly believed, but cutting back on cutting grass can save significant time, energy and money. According to a new study, it could even help save bees.
Led by ecologist Susannah Lerman at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the U.S. Forest Service, the study examined how homeowners can boost bee habitat with their lawn-care habits. Mowing every other week seems to be the sweet spot.
