It would be easy if talent was all it took for us to achieve excellence. But it doesn’t work that way. On “American Idol” there are many singers with talent. But the ones who have the most experience really stand out. The experience of singing for people over and over again hones their skills, and when the competition day comes, their excellence shows. We even see how week after week, each of the singers seems to get better. They’re in an environment where they are focusing their energies and spending their time to cultivating excellence.
