918: Today the angels are asking us to consider this question: “How can I be of service?” Being of service to others is part of everyone’s Life Purpose or Mission. By helping others the energy that extends flows out and, on its journey, it touches multiple people and situations before returning to us. Sometimes being of service can be a big undertaking, however, more often than not it’s the small things that bring the greatest joy and reward. There are many ways to be of service: Helping elderly relative or neighbor. Maybe you know someone who needs a little mentoring or just someone to talk to. Spending quality time with your family. Volunteering at a local charity or even helping a stranger. Embrace unity and community and keep the energy moving today, not only does it make others feel good, but it also makes you feel good too!

917: For the last several months we have been working on creating the necessary changes in our lives that will help us move forward. Today we are being reminded that we have come a long way and have made a lot of progress. This is a good time to reinforce our power of positive self-talk. Remember, I AM and I CAN are powerful motivators, which will help new opportunities to reach us. The Universe sends new blessings our way all the time so take time today to clear your energy field so that these things can come to you!

September Full ‘Harvest” Moon 2024

 Sept 17, 2024 Full Harvest Moon at 7:34 pm PST/ 8:34 pm MST / 10:34 pm EST

The Old Farmer’s Almanac calls this moon the Full Corn Moon however in the Pagan Traditions it is called the Harvest Moon. Other names for this moon are Chrysanthemum Moon (China), Nut Moon (Cherokee), Mulberry Moon (Choctaw), Singing Moon (Celtic), and Barley Moon (medieval English), Gourd Moon ( Catawba).

Many of the Native American tribes’ staple foods, such as corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and rice, were ready for harvesting during this month. The strong light of the Harvest Moon allowed European farmers to work late into the night to harvest their crops which is where the name came from. This moon does not always occur in September and traditionally, the name goes to the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, the Harvest Moon sometimes happens in September and sometimes in October.
