Today’s Message: Clearing The Way

101: As we welcome the month of October let’s take some time to clear and center as we preapre ourselves to focus on receiving of divine inspiration and information. Divine guidance comes from many sources ( Goddess/Sacred Feminine, God, Angels or Ascended Masters, Ancestors.), and comes in many forms that you see, hear, feel or even touch. Our creative energy will also play a big part in what we do this month. The Universe is not only powerful but creative as well so be ready for new and inspiring thoughts and ideas to help you along your path. Remember, don’t try and force things to happen because the best creative things happen naturally. Hold peaceful thoughts for yourself and others and allow creative solutions and ideas to help you today!

As you clear and center connect to your image of the Divine Source. Extend gratitude for what you have and the good things coming your way. Ask for what you need today. (peace, healing, energy, protection, etc.) Commit yourself to being open to receiving and allow yourself to see the world with fresh eyes.

Celtic Tree Month of Ivy: Sept 30- Oct 27

Celtic Tree Month of Ivy / Gort/ Gwinwydden runs from Sept 30- Oct 27

IVY LORE

The ancient Celts and in particular the Druids, held ivy in high regard. In Wales ivy was related to the goddess Arianrhod, and was used in her ritual of opening a portal into the Otherworld also known as the dark side of the moon and the Realm of Faery. This realm is symbolized by the butterfly and gives ivy a mysterious and mystical aspect. Persephone is also associated with this month, this begins the time when she departs for the underworld for the dark half of the year. This month is time of settlement and reconciliation as it relates to karma. This month also corresponds to the Hunters Moon which is this months full moon. It relates to female hunting animals wolf (Brigid), boar (Garbh Ogh), Lioness (Sekhemet)

This plant is associated with the Goddess because it grows in a spiral
This plant is sacred to the God Dionysus and during the Bacchanal people would run around waving the thyrsus which was actually fir branches that were wrapped with ivy. And the ancient Greeks would give a wreath of ivy to newlyweds as a symbol of fidelity.

PLANT INFORMATION

This “super vine” has great strength because of it’s ability to force it’s way into solid rock and it was powerful enough to kill a full grown oak tree. Ivy is another Celtic tree that is not a tree, and it depends upon a real tree to give it support. It is a member of the Ginseng family although it is considered an evergreen and it represents the ever blooming aspect of the human psyche. It develops yellowish flowers in October and then black berries.

Ivy is a POISONOUS plant and while it is said to have been used for medicinal purposes (like curing hangovers and cleansing wounds) I would highly recommend AGAINST it , as all parts of this plant are poisonous.

IVY IN MAGIC

In it’s magical role ivy protects against evil spirits negativity and disaster. and is a symbol of loyalty, healing rituals, and longtime friendships. It can be used in love charms to promote fidelity. As a magical name Ivy denotes strength and to give someone ivy as a gift states “attachment” and be mine forever.

IVY PEOPLE

People born in this month are balanced by Reed people. In their own right, Ivy people have great stamina and talents that can bring them great public honors. Ivies also tend to radiate success even when they are not so fortunate. They are colorful and unique individuals who can be manipulative and use their power ruthlessly to get what they want. September’s Full “Harvest” Moon

“The definition of a Harvest Moon is: the full moon closest to the fall equinox. The Harvest Moon was thus named because it rises within a half-hour of when the sun sets. In early days, when farmers had no tractors, it was essential that they work by the light of the moon to bring in the harvest. This moon is the fullest moon of the year. When you gaze at it, it looks very large and gives a lot of light throughout the entire night. No other lunar spectacle is as awesome as the Harvest Moon.”

The Old Farmer’s Almanac calls this moon the Full Corn Moon however in the Pagan Traditions it is called the Harvest Moon. Other names for this moon are Chrysanthemum Moon (China), Nut Moon (Cherokee), Mulberry Moon (Choctaw), Singing Moon (Celtic), and Barley Moon (medieval english).

Many of the Native American tribes’ staple foods, such as corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and rice, were ready for harvesting during this month. The strong light of the Harvest Moon allowed European farmers to work late into the night to harvest their crops which is where the name came from. This moon does not always occur in September and traditionally, the name goes to the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, the Harvest Moon sometimes happens in September and sometimes in October.

As Mother Earth begins her journey into the dark part of the year, the sun pulls away and we get that welcome autumn chill. September is a time of hearth and home as well as a time to acknowledge the things that we have accomplished since spring.

Today’s Message: Personal Miracles

929: As we close in on the end of September we are being given a gentle reminder about the completion of projects. If you have been working hard on something, either personal or work related, now is the time to tie up any loose ends and finish out the month with a flourish. We are all capable of making a difference whether it’s for ourselves or for others. Remember, the things that we do are important, both large and small and the good you send out returns to you full circle. Believe in yourself and in the Universe and make miracles happen. Your dedication and hard work are paying off and you can feel good about a job well done!

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:

Archangel Gabriel helps us to access our inner wisdom and shows us how it can guide and inspire us. She teaches us the importance of communication on all levels and helps us to overcome our fears so that we can complete the things we start.

The Ascended Master Saint Germain provides courage and direction as we navigate life’s ups and downs. He teaches us how to clear the way and free our minds from worry so that we can work on more important things. while his “big brother” energy surrounds us with loving protection. He can also help us when dealing with those well meaning people who try to push us away from our path.

The Hawaiian fire goddess Pele helps us to ignite our inner fire. This fire when channeled correctly helps to fuel our passions and sense of purpose. She is a goddess of empowerment teaches us about honest communication and how it aids our goal setting and getting. “Within you lives the sacred fire that gives life to your greatest dreams and passions. This part of you must be allowed to come forward, not smothered beneath fear, resentment or the expectations of others. Your fire will help you forge new paths!”

Citrine. This happy and sunny crystal draws abundance and brings our self confidence forward. It promotes the optimistic mindset necessary to activate the manifestation process and nudges us into action. We can also use Citrine to help us sift through information and analyze situations so that we can move forward with positive intent. Citrine also helps us go with the flow and encourages us to explore all options so that we can make the best decisions for our journey.

Howlite helps us to formulate our plans to and achieve our ambitions and goals. It helps us to communicate these things in a calm and reasonable manner and tempers this with patience. Howlite also creates a link to the universal realms and prepares the mind to receive guidance.

Mookite, a form of Jasper that comes in many creamy color combinations, promotes decision making and versatility. These things are important when we are faced with new experiences and find ourselves faced with the need to take action. It encourages us to be flexible during times of change and helps us to embrace new experiences with an open sense of adventure.
