Music has the power to bypass our normal thought processes and connect with our imaginations, our hearts and our souls. It has the power to soothe and inspire, to motivate and uplift.
When lyrics and music combine, and we choose the right songs, they can become mantras, affirming what we want to create in our lives.
In that spirit, here is a selection of songs and potential deeper meanings that could assist in making a fresh start, anytime.
And once we get the knack of finding meaningful messages in the lyrics of these songs, we can apply the same technique to our favorites and create playlists to help us make the most of every area of our lives.
So let’s harness the power of music to make a fresh start!

A Bountiful Moment
You can succeed if nobody else believes it, but you will never succeed if you don’t believe in yourself. ~ William J. H. Boetcker
Daily Thought: Belief is one of the most powerful emotions you carry with you. It directs how you proceed and respond in all situations. Your belief gives you power to move through adversity with strength and tenacity. Your belief is the driving force of your daily motivation and tasks achieved.
Daily Practice: Take a long deep look at what you believe about yourself. Do you value who you are? Do you believe you make a difference? Do you believe you are loved or worth loving? Make sure that you maintain activities daily that support your own acknowledgement of what you are seeking to believe about yourself.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

OM Times: The Magic Use of Candles
Since time Immemorial we find candles being used in Temples, representing the holy element of fire during Sacred rituals.
Candles are always portrayed to be involved with mysteries and myths, they are also symbols of illumination, activation, canalization, and connection with the divinity. Fire is a creative element, especially regarding the power of rebirth and regeneration properties.
Candles are connector element esoterically related to the salamanders, nature elementals that are energy transformers.

Inner Journey: Opening The Heart
“Everything is made of light; everything is alive. The Great Mystery of life has little to do with intelligence. The universe is not an intellectual process. The intellect is helpful; but our hearts are the wiser part of ourselves.”
— Mellen-Thomas Benedict
Heart is a word that refers to many different levels of our being. Essentially, it is the love aspect of soul, capable of making direct, intuitive contact. Soul love is not emotional; it is highly impersonal and intelligent, capable of grasping the essence of someone or something without any projection on our part.
Appreciation significantly turns on the heart. Appreciation is not an emotion that arises spontaneously, but a soul quality we can choose. The more often we choose to be appreciative, the easier this choice becomes and the more frequently our heart opens to give and receive love.
“If you open your heart, love opens your mind.”
— Charles John Quarto

Today’s Recipe: Wakame Seaweed Salad
This Japanese seaweed salad is very popular anywhere sushi is served. Since I’ve been eating these salads since I was a kid, I roll my eyes at the prices marked on them because I know a huge batch can be made for under a buck. Wakame seaweed is not only tasty, it is packed full of calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, and vitamins B2 and B9.

What is ahead for us? We don’t know for sure, but we do know there is still a lot to be experienced. We can look forward with optimism. Studies have shown that optimists live longer, healthier, happier lives. We can choose to see the glass as half-full, and as wholly satisfying. Think today’s going to be a good day? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet
