Announced by all the trumpets of the sky,
Arrives the snow, and, driving o’er the fields,
Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air
Hides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven,
And veils the farmhouse at the garden’s end.

Mother Nature Network: Why you need to take a Swedish ‘year walk’
If you want to see the future, then there’s something you should try. Start by spending your daylight hours shut in a dark room. No eating, speaking, sleeping or engaging with technology or the outside world for a whole day. By cutting yourself off in this manner, you’re preparing your mind and spirit for the Swedish pseudo-pagan ritual of Årsgång, or the “year walk.”

A Bountiful Moment:
I am okay the way I am right now.
Daily Thought
Reminding yourself of the moment you are experiencing right now is a grounding process that helps to settle your mind and allows you to feel a sense of peace and calm. It is a technique that is used to release symptoms of anxiety, including racing thoughts, racing heart, and/or shortness of breath. Taking note of the things surrounding you in the moment is a reality check that gives you the opportunity to continue to move forward with confidence and self-support.
Daily Practice
As you go through your day today and you encounter situations that bring you to the frazzle point, look around you and repeat as often as you need I am okay the way I am right now until the frazzle disappears. Take note of everything that is surrounding you. Take deep breaths. Breathe in the confident thought that I am ok, hold your breath and the thought for 5 counts, then breathe out the fear and anxiety that is holding you hostage. If you take the time to ponder this thought I’m sure you will find if you take things one at a time You are okay right now. Being okay with yourself takes practice every day and sometimes one minute at a time.
Have a Great Day and Believe In Yourself!

SECURITY
“Let us never confuse stability with stagnation.”
— Mary Jean LeTendre
“Many people think that by hoarding money they are gaining safety for themselves. If money is your ONLY hope for independence, you will never have it. The only real security that a person can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability. Without these qualities, money is practically useless.”
— Henry Ford
“One has to abandon altogether the search for security, and reach out to the risk of living with both arms. One has to court doubt and darkness as the cost of knowing.”
— Morris L. West
“One thing we can do is make the choice to view the world in a healthy way. We can choose to see the world as safe with only moments of danger rather than seeing the world as dangerous with only moments of safety.”
— Deepak Chopra
“The only peace, the only security, is in fulfillment.”
— Henry Miller

Today’s Recipe: Fruit Sangria
I made this for a summer party just after harvesting my cherry people. Many people loved it but some thought it was too sour. You may want to consider increasing the sugar if you like it sweet. It is a strong and fruity flavor so be sure to adjust the ratios to best suit your tastes.

Excellence
Can you achieve excellence?
“If people know how hard I have had to work to gain my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful.”
-Michelangelo (1475-1564)
Can you imagine, back in Michelangelo’s time, the artists who felt jealous of his talent? Some of them may have though: “He’s so good, I’ll never be as good, I might as well not even try.” But here Michelangelo is basically saying that anyone can have that excellence. He’s saying that he worked hard to gain mastery of his art. How many of us are willing to put in the work necessary to achieve the excellence that we so desire?
