The warring hosts of Winter and of Spring
are hurtling o’er the plains.
All night I heard their battle-clarions ring
And jar the window panes.
-Christopher Pearse Cranch (1813-92)
Spirit Library: The Power of Inspiration
Inspiration comes to you as bidden, preparing the field, setting the scene, creating intentions ~ all of these activities are setting into motion the power of Inspiration. Most people do not realize how much they need inspiration in their lives, for without it, life can seem very dull.
MBG: 6 Rituals To Unlock The Healing Potential Of Your Crystals
Crystals are loved for their soothing effect and healing powers. There are many different crystals, all with unique benefits, and it’s best to know what those are before diving in. In this excerpt from her new book, Lisa shares six innovative ways to use your crystals.
Daily Good: Recording the Healing Sounds of Nature
“Through repeated, in-depth exposure to nature’s melodies, I soon developed a deep appreciation of their healing qualities and came to regard myself as a sound healer of sorts, with a focus on the voices of nature. I likened myself to an herbalist who goes into the forests and fields in search of medicinal herbs but I head into the wilds in search of immersive and atmospheric soundscapes that are transportive, relaxing, and that have a tonic effect on one’s body and mind.” Lang Elliott shares more from his decades of experience recording nature’s healing sounds.
Elephant Journal: New Moon in Aquarius: it’s Time to Declutter our Emotional & Spiritual Lives
t’s time to “spring-clean” our emotional and spiritual clutter this month.
It’s still winter in the northern hemisphere but nonetheless, this is a great month for some “spring-cleaning.”
If you’ve been considering “tidying up with Marie Kondo,” break out the eco-friendly shopping bags and start sorting through your stuff.
MNN: The Inuit have a simple way of teaching their children how to control anger
It’s no surprise that, as a society, we often focus on ways to manage anger. We know it’s bad for us, and that rage-aholics aren’t long for this Earth. We also know it’s bad for the people who have to deal with that anger.
So we focus on ways to quell a seemingly ever-simmering ire that only wants to watch the world burn
EarthSky News: Moon, Jupiter, Saturn on March 26-29
These next several mornings – March 26-29, 2019 – look for the waning moon passing by Jupiter and then Saturn in the early morning sky. You’ll look south from Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, but from the Earth’s Southern Hemisphere, look high overhead or high in the northern sky.
Patheos-Pagan: Confronting Stereotypes and Prejudice Against Paganism
A question came in this month’s Conversations Under the Oaks that was more timely than anyone knew.
How do you educate someone when they try to ban all forms of Norse Paganism because they think every Norse Pagan has to be a Nazi or a white supremacist? As cute as the meme of “Odin didn’t die for the Nazis to steal his runes” is, it’s not going sway anyone who only sees Nordic runes or hears Odin or Thor when someone shoots up a Jewish school or shows up in rallies like Charlottesville
“The soul requires duration of time — rich, thick, deep, velvety time — and it thrives on rhythm. Soul can’t be hurried or harried …. We may go through many events in the day and experience nothing because the soul has not had the opportunity to feel them from many different points of view.”
— Robert Sardello
Soul cannot exist when our connections in life remain superficial. An experience of soul requires that we take time to be fully present to the details of our lives.
Explore what happens when you take the time to STOP and PAY ATTENTION. When we choose to slow down and really experience the qualities of our lives, we get a whole new perspective on what living is all about.
“We must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind us to the fact that each moment of life is a miracle and mystery.”
— H. G. Wells
“The well of Providence is deep. It’s the buckets we bring to it that are small.”
— Mary Webb
A Note from the Universe
In the time that it takes you to read this short Note, you could have planted a new image in your mind (anything you like, ideally with an emotional charge); I could have reacted (realigning planets, people, and the sort), and the floodgates would’ve begun trembling violently as we’d have been drawn infinitely closer to manifesting the vision you’d chosen.
Fortunately, there’s still time.

“You don’t go through a deep personal transformation without some kind of a dark night of the soul.”
Heavy, dark experiences change us. They shake us to our core and cause us to re-evaluate our lives and our values. So, it is understandable that a transformation can come out of that. And sometimes it works the other way around. Sometimes a transformation occurs – maybe we’ve been working on it for a long time but then suddenly there’s a shift – and we need some time and space to assimilate it into our consciousness. We need to see how we can fit our new selves back into our old lives. It can feel like a dark night of the soul – but it’s only temporary. The light shines through.
Spirituality & Health: Prayer Is Good Medicine
Prayer Is Good Medicine
BY BETH HOWARD
“When I asked people with illness how they were coping, they would often talk about their religious faith. I was very moved by their responses and began to look for ways to study it.”
