1210: Today the Universe is asking us to pay attention and get ready to receive some needed divine inspiration and guidance. The key is to stay positive about the messages that you receive. Some will be useful now while others require us to be patient as they will be helpful in the near future. Doing your best to stay focused and centered will help keep the lines of communication open and flowing. Remember that these messages can take the form of thoughts, ideas, or even visual clues and that each tidbit of information is an essential piece of the puzzle from which we create our lives. So use this information wisely and weed out old habits and replace them with new ones. The time has come to ease out of your comfort zone and leave complacency behind. be bold and embrace the creator that you are meant to be.
Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Sandalphon hears all requests and makes sure that they get to the Angel or Ascended Master who is best able to handle them. Ask him to help you clearly understand the information that you receive (his favorite mode of communication is music!). Sandalphon also provides us with an emotional boost of courage. This is THE BEST lemon zucchini bread I’ve ever baked or tasted. The recipe came from a friend of my mom’s. She kept raving about this bread that she had made while she was visiting. After I made it the first time I can understand why. If I don’t put this in the freezer right away, it is gone!!! Butter is really good on this bread if you aren’t worried about the calories, fat, etc.

ThoughtCo: Smooring the Fire—A Prayer to Brighid
Alexander Carmichael was a folklorist and author who spent nearly five decades traveling around the highlands of Scotland collecting stories, prayers and songs. His most noteworthy work, the Carmina Gadelica, is an interesting blend of early Pagan tradition mixed with the influences of Christianity. Smooring the Fire is from Carmichael’s Carmina Gadelica, published 1900, and is a Gaelic hymn to Brighid, honoring the tradition of smooring, or dampening, the hearth fire at night, and particularly on the night before Imbolc.

At Imbolg, the Maiden aspect of the Goddess might be represented in a great variety of ways — by a simple ear of dried corn, a figure made of grain at Lughnasadh, or straws or wheat braided into an intricate design. One representation of the Goddess is Brigid’s Cross. Although the original design may well have been made from rushes, wheat versions have been recreated for centuries. Make a cross for each room in the house to invite the blessings of the Goddess into them.

I have told the story many time of the Indian lady who ran a hardware stall at a local indoor market near us. She said her life seemed to revolve around that stall. It took up so much of her time, so much in fact that she rarely had time to visit her temple for worship.
