Cat’s Morning Bits for March 12, 2018
Good Morning, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
It is the first mild day of March:
Each minute sweeter than before
The redbreast sings from the tall larch
That stands beside our door.
William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
Mind Body Green: The Truth About Tattoos & Your Immune System
Whether you have tattoos or not, it’s fascinating to consider that they’ve been a practice of humankind for thousands of years despite the fact that we still know so little about how they actually work. Ink is injected through the skin, but given rapid cell turnover rates, the movement of fluids within our bodies, and our fierce immune systems, how the ink remains in one place is enigmatic.
Beliefnet: Ways to Not Let the Things You Can’t Change Spoil Your Life
Life can be complicated at times and despite the highs and lows experienced, you mustn’t allow things to spoil your life. Part of life is accepting the challenge and agreeing that you cannot control everything. Understanding and integrating these ways of life will help you carry out a more fulfilling and happy adventure.
OM Times: Boost Your Intuition by Managing Your Energy Boundaries
We are all intuitives: intuition is an innate skill we are all born with. The problem is we don’t know how to use it, so were less than we could be, at home and at work. We can change that by learning to manage our energy boundaries.
Not what you thought, right? You’re thinking we learn intuition by working on it, but that’s really the second step. The first step is to understand energy and our energy bodies.
A Bountiful Moment:
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
Do not get stuck in reminiscing about what could have been, or what should have been. It creates a poor self-image and anxiety about what will happen next. Think about your future with a positive perspective. Know that what you see as a good, great or a valued next action will bring you your greatest joy.
Keep moving throughout your day by taking the next step toward tomorrow’s end goal. Do one thing that you never thought would be possible. Work on bringing to reality what you see in your dreams one step and one task at a time.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

Patheos-Pagan: Cycles in Time: The Myth of the Year
A Pagan myth of Christian origins, of pagan inception As Neopaganism matures, the unveiling of several layers of history and mythologising are gradually peeled away, revealing some fascinating and telling truths. Much of the pagan myths we live with today tend to be borne out of the romanticising of the Victorian era, and unfortunately reflect much of the fantasising and speculation that accompanied it. However, through the decades of living this paganism, certain truths have become regularised within the structures
“Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going. Rather than always focusing on what’s urgent, learn to focus on what is really important.”
— Stephen Covey
Time management is all about making decisions. At each step of the way, we want to choose activities that best support what we want to do with our lives. To do this, we need to be clear about our short and long-term goals.
Here’s a general question to ask yourself often: “Is this the best use of my time in terms of meeting my goals?” Sometimes, of course, we don’t have any choice. But ask yourself honestly, “Could I take more control if I really wanted to?” Often, we play the victim because we don’t want to make the effort to change our behaviour.
“Time is a created thing. To say ‘I don’t have time,’ is like saying, ‘I don’t want to.'”
A Note from the Universe
You know what’s kind of wild? At this very crossroads of time and space, more than ever before, there are so many billions of people yearning to awaken, study, and understand the truth about themselves, their divinity, and the magic.
You know what else is kind of wild? Just as this need arose, simultaneously, all over the world, there have appeared the greatest teachers, though in far smaller numbers. Those who are actually living these truths, leading with the example of their lives, and healing those in need through simple conversation.
Want to know what’s even more unbelievable? That you sometimes consider yourself more of the student.
Today’s Recipe: Walnut and Pomegranate Chicken Stew (Fesenjoon)
I’ve promised my family’s recipe for this delightful, rich stew to so many people. I thought I’d direct them here to ThriftyFun (because you will want to know how to make this, too). There really isn’t anything like Fesenjoon. It is is an ancient Persian dish that has very forward-thinking textures and flavours. The pomegranate makes it sweet and sour, while the walnut makes it rich and smooth. It’s made to go with Basmati rice. Please give this a try!

“Desire is the very essence of man.” – Benedict De Spinoza, Ethics
So, you have a desire… now what do you do with it? Of course, you want to fulfill it! We are busy fulfilling our desires everyday, and sometimes so easily that we aren’t even aware of what we are doing.
Let’s look at the mechanics of desire fulfillment:
1. Recognize the desire.
2. Evaluate the desire – do you REALLY want it?
3. Create an intention to fulfill the desire.
4. Release the desire to the universe – state your intention clearly.
5. Give up any attachment to the outcome… anything can happen, and
it’s usually better than we ever could have anticipated.
6. Let the universe handle the details – don’t try to control or
manipulate how things happen.
7. Express gratitude!
