Spirit Library: Navigating With Clarity (a message from Kate Spreckley)

All around us life is shifting and changing paving the way for a new way of living and being. As a result, we are being urged to reassess and review our life and the choices we are faced with at this time.

It is a sultry day; the sun has drunk
The dew that lay upon the morning grass;
There is no rustling in the lofty elm
That canopies my dwelling
-William Cullen Bryant (1794-1878)

ThoughtCo: Setting Up Your Lammas (Lughnasadh) Altar

It’s Lammas, or Lughnasadh, the Sabbat where many Pagans choose to celebrate the beginnings of the harvest. This Sabbat is about the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth—the grain god dies, but will be reborn again in the spring.

MBG: A Guide To The 4 Most Common Types Of Introverts

When you hear the word introvert, you might think of someone who’s painfully shy and avoids human interaction at all costs. You might even immediately identify with the word because you prefer staying in with a good book rather than going out. But those associations tend to be a rather simplistic view of introversion.

Daily Good: The Dynamic Mystery of Relationships

“The more open, present and awake we are, the less objective our relationships become. So-called relationship becomes simple relating. The noun transforms into a verb — an apparent thing opens up into an alive process. If I no longer take myself as an object, I also cannot make you into one. Nor can I create what is happening between us into something. We may call it friendship but it is really a dynamic mystery, a lively, unfolding, open-ended process of listening, sharing, and discovery.” John Prendergast shares more in this excerpt from his book, “In Touch: How to Tune in to the Inner Guidance of Your Body and Trust Yourself”. { read more }

Treehugger: Moon Gardening Is a Heavenly Thing

Upon first hearing the phrase “moon gardening,” images of gardeners in goddess garb sowing seeds by the light of the moon may come to mind. Which would be really fun, come to think of it, but in fact, moon gardening is much more than that.

EarthSky News: Use the Big Dipper to find Polaris

Tonight, use the Big Dipper in the constellation Ursa Major the Great Bear to find the sky’s northern pole star, Polaris. This is the star around which the whole northern celestial sphere appears to turn throughout the night. That’s because this star is located nearly above Earth’s northern axis. In times past, wanderers on the northern face of Earth used Polaris to stay on course.

Inner Journey:

How aware are you?

“The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention.”
— Julie Cameron

How aware are you of:
– your senses?
– your body — its condition, needs and wisdom?
– your fears?
– your defences – how you hide what you’re really feeling?
– your self talk?
– your beliefs and their power to create your reality?
– your passions?
– your purpose?

Go on a treasure hunt to discover your authentic self and the truth of life in and around you!

“Relative to the level of awareness that is possible for us, our ordinary state of consciousness is as far from a direct experience of reality as sleep is from waking consciousness.”
— Don Richard Riso & Russ Hudson

A Note from the Universe
Just a word from you, just a word — and I’m there.

No matter where “there” is. No matter what you want. No matter what you need. No matter where you’ve been. No matter where you’re headed. No matter when you ask. No matter how you ask. No matter who’s there with you. No matter who else you’re thinking of. No matter what, no matter what, no matter what.

Please, believe me –

Daily Wisdom
July 6, 2020
“Every organization of men, be it social or political, ultimately relies on man’s capacity for making promises and keeping them.”

-Hannah Arendt, 1972

It seems like we don’t hear that word used as often lately. When we were younger, it was a really big deal to make a promise. And we knew that a promise meant something we could count on. Today there’s more hedging… we’re reluctant to “promise” results, or overextend ourselves, so we tend to hear: “Well, I can’t promise, but I’ll do my best.” We give ourselves that little “out” so we don’t look bad if we don’t follow-through. Or we get a “guarantee” that comes with an expiration date or a lot of fine print. But promises, real promises, don’t work like that. It’s a way of saying: “I mean it” or “I’ll do what I say I am going to do.”

-Lissa Coffey

Daily Tarot: Death

A change has been in the air for some time and today the actual transformation could happen. There’s nothing to be afraid of, or to dread, or to fear losing. Room is being made and energy is being set aside for something new and better for you. It could be something small or something large, but whatever it is will be meaningful and affect your daily life.
