Spirit Library: Guard Against Habitual Impulses (a message from Kate Spreckley)

This has been a year of powerful and intense energy, which has significantly enhanced our awareness and expanded our consciousness

Introduction to Alchemy

Sending healing energy is one thing that everybody is capable of doing.

You don’t need specialized training, a lifetime of spiritual experience, or an expert mentor to unlock this power.

ThoughtCo: Pagan Meal Blessings

Although there’s a misconception that Christianity has a monopoly on saying a prayer over food and drink, many religions celebrate the consumption of food with some sort of prayer of thanksgiving.

Daily Good: Praying for the Earth

When the earth is sick and dying,
There will come a tribe of people
From all races
Who will put their faith in deeds,
Not words, and make the planet
Green again.

Cree Prophecy –

Praying for the Earth

“The earth needs our prayers more that we know. It needs us to acknowledge its sacred nature, that it is not just something to use and dispose. Many of us know the effectiveness of prayers for others, how healing and help is given, even in the most unexpected ways. There are many ways to pray for the earth. It can be helpful first to acknowledge that it is not unfeeling matter but a living being that has given us life. And then we can sense its suffering: the physical suffering we see in the dying species and polluted waters, the deeper suffering of our collective disregard for its sacred nature. Would we like to be treated just as a physical object to be used and abused? Would we like our sacred nature, our soul, to be denied?” Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee shares more in this moving piece. { read more }

This holiday season is the perfect time to give unique, sustainable gifts.

2020 is a year like no other, and I believe it’s a great time to try shopping a little differently. Instead of purchasing gifts from the big name companies and e-commerce stores.

Elephant Journal: Precognitive Dreaming: How to Receive Life-Changing Information

In Part One, we learned how to know when we’re having a prophetic dream—what this kind of dream is—and that it’s really not new to the world at all.
We also explored the different types of precognitive dreams.

EarthSky News: Orion’s Belt and the Celestial Bridge

In late November, from around the world, the constellation Orion rises into your eastern sky around 9 p.m. Orion climbs highest up for the night around 1 to 2 a.m. local time (the time on your clock no matter where you are on the globe), and the giant hunter sits low in your western sky around 5 to 6 a.m.

Pagan Playlist: “Hymn to Pan” by FAUN and SAMSARAWEAR

“Activity is not achievement. It is not enough to rush about beginning a lot of things and keeping busy. A well-spent life is one that rounds out what it has begun.”
— Eknath Easwaran

Intention and the words we speak are powerful. When we say we are going to do something, we set energy in motion. When we fail to act or complete our intention, we drain our energy. We lose our power.

We would be wise to choose our words carefully — to really mean what we say and to honour the commitments we have made.

“Genius begins great works; labor alone finishes them.”
— Joseph Joubert

“Good to begin well, better to end well.”
— English proverb

A Note from the Universe

Blazing desire even when it’s all you’ve got, is all you’ve ever needed.

But mind you, if your blazing desire has not effortlessly thrown you into action — preparing the way, taking baby steps, and doing all you can — then it’s just a smoldering desire, and you’re thinking other conflicting thoughts as well.

Always hot for you,

The Universe

Daily Wisdom
November 23, 2020

“If you have great talents, industry will improve them: if you have but moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiency. Nothing is denied to well-directed labor: nothing is to be obtained without it.”

-Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792)

Whether you call it industry, or action, there’s no substitute for good, old-fashioned effort. There is definitely a place for thinking positively. And that must be followed up with planning and organizing. Then steps must be taken to implement the plan. All this is industry, and we can use it to create, to make things happen!

-Lissa Coffey

Daily Tarot: The Fool

Expect the unexpected, in fact don’t even expect that much. Today could be a wild ride, and you may instigate some of it in the spirit of fun, suggests the Fool card. Play it safe and stay out of trouble if you can, but it could be hard at times. Don’t fret over any little mistakes today. By tonight or at least tomorrow it may be hard to tell who made them if anyone even recalls them
