Look first for dazzling Venus, the sky’s brightest planet, in the west shortly after sunset. Then, as twilight deepens, search for for these two embracing worlds beneath Venus, but rather close to the horizon.

Daily Wisdom
August 17, 2021

“A man watches his pear tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the ripening of the fruit and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap!”

-Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

Ah! We are rewarded for our patience! There’s another saying that “good things come to those who wait.” Even if we pluck a pear straight from the tree, that doesn’t make it ripe. It is ripe only in its own time. We can apply the concept to our ideas and projects, our relationships and job searches. We know when the time is right to proceed, to take action. We don’t need to rush.

-Lissa Coffey

Daily Tarot: Strength

Anger could raise its ugly little head today, but you have things under control. Don’t engage, if possible, and tactfully deflect the worst of whatever misunderstanding caused the outbreak. If it’s repressed anger, there may never be any loud or angry words. You can smooth any ruffled feathers simply by standing up and not being intimidated or rushed into any action or opinion. Be at your best today
