On March 10, watch the 1st-quarter moon among the winter stars. On the 10th, it sits inside the Winter Circle. This asterism is also shaped like a hexagon with six bright stars marking its corners. The moon floats in Taurus above the upraised club of Orion. But it will slide toward the twins Castor and Pollux in Gemini on each consecutive night.
