Inner Journey:

MAKE TIME TO PLAY

“If we fail to nourish our souls, they wither, and without soul, life ceases to have meaning…. The creative process shrivels in the absence of continual dialogue with the soul. And creativity is what makes life worth living.”
— Marion Woodman

Stress, fear, negativity, too much to do and doing things for others at the expense of our own needs — these all stifle our innate creativity. Relaxation, fun, meditation, and going after our dreams all get the creative juices flowing. Soul is always creative, always fresh and new.

How can you create more space in your life to allow the soul’s energy out to play?

“I learned… that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic, striving, but it comes to us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness.”
— Brenda Ueland

“I lived in solitude in the country and noticed how the monotony of quiet life stimulates the creative mind.”
— Albert Einstein

A Note from the Universe

Ever have one of those days. when you’re feeling so good, crossing a street, driving your car, shopping at the mall, when from a distance you see a complete stranger with a kindly face and you simply can’t stop yourself from whispering a silent “Love you”?

Oh, cool, because there has been many a time, in many a place, when some unknown face whispered the same to you…

Love you,

The Universe

Friendship
“Those friends thou hast, and their adoptions tried,
Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel.”

-Shakespeare

One of the greatest gifts we are given in this lifetime is the gift of friendship. Our friends are our treasures! We learn so much from each other. Think about the first friend you ever had. Remember the joy you felt just hanging out and playing together? Chances are that the friends we had in childhood are different than the friends we have today. People change and grow and move away and go on to lead separate lives. But we remember those friends, and they remember us! We learned from them then, and are where we are now in part because of those friendships.

Daily Tarot: The Pope

It’s important to stick with the plan already in place and be loyal to those who are already committed to you. You’re not so much part of a team as you are the leader of a group of people who will do what you ask of them if you only treat them properly and look after their needs, especially the tiny personal ones.
