By Patti Wigington
Updated on May 06, 2019
In many modern-day Pagan belief systems, there is a good deal of focus on the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. A few traditions of Wicca also include a fifth element, which is spirit or self, but that is not universal among all Pagan paths

EarthSky News: See Mira the Wonderful at its brightest
Mira the Wonderful
Although stars appear to shine at a constant brilliance, many are variable stars. They brighten and dim over many different timescales. Their changes in brightness are often too small to be perceptible to the unaided eye. But the star Mira, aka Omicron Ceti, is different.

THE FIRST STEP TO FORGIVENESS
“To get to forgiveness, we first have to work through the painful experiences that require it.”
— Christiane Northrup
To forgive, we do not have to say that whatever happened was okay. In fact, before we can forgive, we need to allow ourselves to really feel the pain of the experience. If we don’t fully acknowledge our hurts, we will continue to carry them subconsciouslyand they will drain our energy.
To forgive, we need to decide that we won’t allow the memories of the event to poison us any longer. We’re ready to heal this wound from the past and open to a fresh new beginning.
The blessing is that when we’re really ready to experience our pain and we open to it, it usually fades away. By honouring our pain, we release it.
“We must let ourselves feel all the painful destruction we want to forgive rather than swallow it in denial. If we do not face it, we cannot choose to forgive it.”
— Kenneth McNoll
A Note from the Universe
Those who are not yet spiritually evolved simply cannot appreciate, or even recognize, those who are.
Fortunately, you can still blow their socks off as you live the truths you’ve uncovered.

Today’s Recipe: Halloumi, Watermelon, and Mint Salad
Halloumi cheese and fresh, juicy watermelon are a fantastic salty-sweet pair. In Cyprus, fresh halloumi slices are served with watermelon for breakfast or dessert, but I think frying the halloumi and adding mint increases the flavor and makes a delightful summer salad.

“Any creative endeavor is channeled, whether it be music or art or theoretical science. We have the capacity to tune in to energies and to convert them into reality for ourselves.”
At one important scientific conference, a group of scientists announced that with all of the new technology and their vast knowledge, that they could create life all on their own, with no help whatsoever from God. A reporter in the room challenged them and asked for proof. The scientists, confident in their claim, invited everyone outside for a demonstration. There, in an open field, one of them scooped a handful of earth, and said: “This is where we will begin.” And God’s voice was heard from above and He said: “Use your own dirt!”
This is a cute joke, and it calls our attention to the fact that we are creative beings, and that creativity comes from the Source of All things.
