Spirit Library: You Are Happening to Life
Sonia Barrett
The general perception held by most is that life is happening to them but should we change perspectives we will find that we are happening to life. We are the definers of life as we act upon life.

Spirituality & Health: Journaling Out Loud
by Kevin Anderson PhD, Psychotherapist
Distracted by worrying, anxious, comparing thoughts? Give voice to them. Then give voice to a response to them.
For years I’ve referred to my overly active thoughts, both in meditation and daily life, as “monkey mind.” Recently, I’ve switched to an image I’ve seen on several nature shows: billions of sardines in a frenzied bait ball being attacked by various swimming and flying creatures.

Learn Religions: Lugh, Master of Skills
By Patti Wigington
Updated on April 26, 2019
Similar to the Roman god Mercury, Lugh was known as a god of both skill and the distribution of talent. There are countless inscriptions and statues dedicated to Lugh, and Julius Caesar himself commented on this god’s importance to the Celtic people.

EarthSky News: Moon near Venus on July 25 and 26 mornings
Watch for the moon near Venus
On the mornings of July 25 and 26, the waning crescent moon, shining faintly with earthshine on its darkened portion, is near the brightest planet Venus. A beautiful sight! The bright red star nearby is Aldebaran in Taurus the Bull. And the beautiful, dipper-shaped Pleiades star cluster twinkles above them all.

JULY 21, 2015 BY JOHN BECKETT
Holidays and holy days are better with friends and family. But many Pagans maintain solitary practices. Even if you work with a group, sometimes you can’t be with them for one reason or another.

Inner Journey:
EXPLORE YOUR FEARS
“Fear is a question: What are you afraid of, and why? Just as the seed of health is in illness, because illness contains information, our fears are a treasure house of self-knowledge if we explore them.”
— Marilyn Ferguson
In our world of duality, fear and love sit at opposite ends of the continuum. Fear belongs only to the personality because it believes in separation and impermanence. The soul never knows fear because it understands the unity of all.
When fear arises, we can invite our soul to sit with our frightened personality. What soul energies are waiting to be acknowledged? When we bring higher energies into the presence of lower energies, the lower energies are transformed.
“What is needed, rather than running away or controlling or suppressing or any other resistance, is understanding fear; that means, watch it, learn about it, come directly into contact with it. We are to learn about fear, not how to escape from it.”
— Jiddu Krishnamurti

Simplicity
“In character, in manners, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.”
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)
Have you noticed that there is a whole industry out there now all about simplicity? There are books and organizers and coaches and magazines all geared towards making our lives more simple. How did this happen? How did our lives get so complex and confused that we forgot how to be simple? It’s crazy that we’ve now created more “stuff” to get ourselves back to basics – it’s kind of defeating the whole purpose. Let’s just make it simple today: Less “stuff,” more love!

Daily Tarot: The Fool
Boredom could be a problem today, so put more energy into finishing what needs to get done before you decide to slow down or stop for the day. Once you’ve done the minimum required for the day, the rest of the time becomes yours to do with as you please. You don’t really mean to waste the rest of the day, but you don’t have to burn yourself out, either.
