September Quotes
“Smoke hangs like haze over harvested fields,
The gold of stubble, the brown of turned earth
And you walk under the red light of fall
The scent of fallen apples, the dust of threshed grain
The sharp, gentle chill of fall.
Here as we move into the shadows of autumn
The night that brings the morning of spring
Come to us, Lord of Harvest
Teach us to be thankful for the gifts you bring us …”

Vines, cluster’d full, add to the beauteous scene,
And fruit-trees cloth’d profusely laden, nod,
Complaint bowing to the fertile sod.”

The Canvas
The canvas of the summer is made of shades of green;
Emerald, jade, and serpentine with many in between.
When the harvest time begins the Lady takes up her brush;
She starts to add new colors, vibrant, bold, and lush.
Carnelian, garnet, and amber dots the forest floor;
She lets it dry a day or so before she adds a little more.
She works with slow precision as she paints each leaf with =are;
Ash, oak, and aspen glow; with gemstone hues everywhere.
When the landscape is complete she adds a turquoise sky;
Wild geese and soft white clouds gently sail on by.
To the lady we give thanks for the beauty that she brings;
Each season is a masterpiece that helps our spirits sing.

Mabon, also known as the autumn equinox, is the second harvest festival in the pagan wheel of the year. At this time of year, all or the majority of grain crops have been harvested and stored for winter, and there is an abundance of fruits and vegetables.

Patheos-Pagan: Autumn Equinox: Is Balance Even Possible?
SEPTEMBER 18, 2022 BY LISA WAGONER
September has snuck up on me once again, and soon it is time for the Autumn Equinox! The theme I see in all my pagan, witch, witch-adjacent, mystical emails and posts is of balance. Which got me thinking:

Inner Journey:
EXPERIENCE STILLNESS
“My greatest wealth is the deep stillness in which I strive and grow and win what the world cannot take from me with fire or sword.”
— Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
If our minds are always busy, they don’t get time to do basic maintenance – to sort, tidy up and take out the trash. If we don’t periodically clear out space in our minds, there’s no room for new ideas to take root.
Where do you find stillness each day and each week? Plan for quiet time, relaxation and stillness daily, even if it’s only for 5 or 10 minutes.
“For peace of mind, we need to resign as general manager of the universe.”
— Larry Eisenberg
