December Quotes

“I have been one acquainted with the night
I have walked out in rain – and back in rain
I have out-walked the furthest city light

I have looked down the saddest city lane
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say goodbye;
And further still at an unearthly height;
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.”

Spirituality & Health: How to Use Mantra Meditation for the Chakras
by Sweta Srivastava Vikram

Meditate using mantras to help balance and energize each of the seven main chakras.
In the summer of 2022, my husband and I traveled to the wilderness of Newfoundland. The place is poetically beautiful, sandwiched between the mountains and the roaring Atlantic Ocean. We hiked ten miles every day and felt cleansed by our surroundings.

Learn Religions: Yule Goddess Ritual for Solitaries

By Patti Wigington
Updated on October 21, 2019
Yule is the time of the Winter Solstice, and for many Pagans, it’s a time to say goodbye to the old, and welcome the new. As the sun returns to the earth, life begins once more. This ritual can be performed by a solitary practitioner, either male or female, but it’s also easily adaptable for a small group of people.

Patheos-Pagan: Smoke Divination: The Art of Capnomancy
AUGUST 23, 2022 BY COBY MICHAEL WARD

Smoke Divination

I didn’t know all too much about smoke divination, or capnomancy up until a year or so ago. I certainly didn’t realize how accurate and in detail it would be in regard to my life until I had a reading from Rissa Miller.

Inner Journey:

DID YOU FIND JOY?

“The future, higher evolution will belong to those who live in joy, who share joy, and who spread joy.”
— Torkom Saraydarian

Joy, as the energy of love, is the highest vibration on this planet. Everything in the universe is energy; it can be measured and reduced to vibrational frequencies. It’s a universal law that as we think and feel we vibrate, and as we vibrate we attract. When we are in the high joy vibration, we attract what is for our greater good.

The Ancient Egyptians saw Joy as a sacred responsibility. They believed that upon their death, the God Osiris would ask them two questions: “Did you bring Joy?” and “Did you find Joy?” Those who answered ‘yes’ could continue their journey into the afterlife.

For at least the next week or two, ask yourself these two questions each and every day:

Did I bring joy?

Did I find joy?

Man loves because he is Love. He seeks Joy, for he is Joy. He thirsts for God for he is composed of God and he cannot exist without Him.”
— Sathya Sai Baba

A Note from the Universe

Actually, it’s pretty simple.

You have one real choice: To do your best, with what you have, from where you are.

Everything else is just stalling.

Daily Tarot: The Magician

It may be hard to be serious and stick to those dull but crucial tasks that keep the day running smoothly. Be systematic, cheerful, and don’t let it show if you feel undervalued or underappreciated. Save your sharp wit and cleverness for another time and place. Time spent with younger people or children can lift your spirits and keep things in perspective for you.
