Thought For The Day: Jan. 9, 2018 “Opposing Views”

Happy Tuesday,

People have different views, thoughts, and ways of doing things…. it’s what makes us individuals. Just because someone doesn’t share your views doesn’t make them wrong, stupid or misguided. These views are most often created through perspective and  personal experience. While we may share an experience with someone else it’s our personal perspective that changes things. Remember, just because something works for you doesn’t mean that it works for everyone. Our greatest strengths lie in our differences and being able to get past them. Agree to disagree and move on.

Is it just me or has showing respect for the thoughts, opinions and feelings of others gone the way of the Dodo? Just because we don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean that  we have to be nasty to them.  Just because you haven’t shared an experience doesn’t mean that you can’t show empathy. Remember….. while we may not agree on everything we can agree to disagree, shake hands, say ‘You’re right, I don’t understand but I am sorry that you feel that way.” Hate and disrespect solves nothing. Rise above all that and lift others on your way up!
