Poor robin redbreast,
Look where he comes;
Let him in to feel your fire,
And toss him of your crumbs.
-Christina G. Rossetti (1830-94)

Spiritual Unite: Celtic Tree Of Life Meaning – Nature And Linking Realms

While the Celtic Tree of Life symbol has been made extremely popular by its more modern use in art and décor, its importance as a symbol stretches all the way back to the Ancient Celts.

Tetraktys: 5 Simple Birthday Rituals for Pagans And Witches
Hello witches! I celebrated my birthday last week and our blog’s first anniversary is coming very soon! Therefore, I’ve been inspired to write about birthdays this week. For witches and pagans, birthdays are very important. Just like Sabbats, your birthday is a significant milestone in the Wheel of the Year.

Daily Good: The New and Ancient Story of Interbeing

“Why does the sun shine? A random result of coalescing gases igniting nuclear fusion? Or is it in order to give its light and warmth to Life? Why does the rain fall? Is it the senseless product of blind chemical processes of evaporation and condensation? Or is it to water life? Why do you seek to pour forth your song? Is it to show off your genetic fitness to attract a mate, or is it to contribute to a more beautiful world? We may fear those first answers but it is the second that carries the ring of truth.” Charles Eisenstein shares more in this piece

MNN: The weird and beautiful life hiding in Antarctica’s frigid depths

Researchers are quickly scrambling to catalog these unique species before climate change impacts their icy habitats.

In July 2017, an iceberg with a volume of water twice that of Lake Erie and encompassing some 2,300 square miles broke free of the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica. As it drifted away, the giant 620-foot thick berg uncovered a stretch of ocean last exposed to sunlight as long as 120,000 years ago

EarthSky News: Watch for a young moon after sunset

These next several evenings – February 6, 7 and 8, 2019 – present a grand time to go young moon hunting. At new moon on February 4, 2019, the moon was lost in the sun’s glare all day long, so it was invisible in our sky at that time. But now that the moon has moved a touch east of the setting sun, as seen from Earth, the moon is out for a brief while in the western sky after sundown.

Patheos-Pagan: What is Pagan Cooking?

I seem to have a bit of a reputation for cake…and I must admit I do love baking. I find it quite therapeutic. Recently I was asked to write a book proposal for ‘pagan cooking’ and of course I was excited about the prospect but then it got me to thinking, what exactly is ‘pagan cooking’?

Inner Journey:

“We cannot live the afternoon of life according to the program of life’s morning; for what in the morning was true will in evening become a lie.”
— C.G. Jung

Life continually evolves. We’re always moving into new experiences, new possibilities. This constant change unsettles the personality, which finds security in stability. But with life always in flux, that security is an illusion. We experience pain by trying to hold on to things that are not solid.

Life becomes joyful when we can open to the constant flow and ride freely with it. This requires us to let go of the need to control. We need to learn to trust.

“Can it then be that what we call the ‘self’ is fluid and elastic? It evolves, strikes a different balance with every new breath.”
— Wayne Muller

“We’re never the same; notice how you’re called to write something entirely different about a topic you responded to weeks or months ago.”
— Patrice Vecchione

A Note from the Universe

True life mastery is more a function of knowing what to want, than knowing how to get what you want.
