Natural Living Ideas: 7 Lovely Ways To Use Wild Violets
Wild violets are beautiful and sweet smelling, but to many people, they’re seen as a challenging weed that’s hard to control, killing their beautifully lush lawns that they’ve worked so hard to achieve. Native to the eastern regions of North America, they colonize easily in slightly shaded moist soil and often cohabitate with other colonizing yard weeds. For someone who is seeking that perfect, manicured lawn free of violets, they do have a major challenge to face because the plant’s root network is rather tenacious.

ThoughtCo: The Egyptian Goddess Ma’at
Ma’at is the Egyptian goddess of truth and justice. She is married to Thoth, and is the daughter of Ra, the sun god. In addition to truth, she embodies harmony, balance and divine order. In Egyptian legends, it is Ma’at who steps in after the universe is created, and brings harmony amidst the chaos and disorder.

Daily Good: The Underland is a Deeply Human Realm
Robert Macfarlane writes vividly about outdoor spaces, borders, and the way in which one type of territory transforms subtly into another. His new book, Underland, descends into a quite literally overlooked landscape: the one beneath our feet. He wrestles with grand questions about humanity and its effects on the natural world even as he chronicles journeys to isolated caves, the man-made caverns below cities, and scientific research facilities whose underground isolation is essential to their mission. { read more }
Be The Change
Macfarlane reminds us that there are consequences to the power of our numbers and technologies, including “a keen sense of time and space running out.” Do you feel time is running out on our life as humans on this earth? How could all of us be more aware of “the deep-time future we are presently making”?

MNN: 6 great treasures found with a metal detector
You may think the lone treasure seeker scanning the sand with a metal detector at the beach seems a bit dorky — no offense to “detectorists,” of course — but that only makes this revenge of the nerds all the sweeter.

EarthSky News: Around now, watch for Taurid fireballs
We haven’t heard from many people in 2019 who’ve seen fireballs in either of the long-lasting South or North Taurid meteor showers. Still, it’s always worth keeping an eye out. Various sources give wildly different dates for the peak date of South Taurids (active from late September to late November). November 6, 2019, is one of those predicted dates. My history with Mercury retrograde often looks like this: I break up with people, I fight with people, I don’t read emails before I send them, and I forget promises I’ve made. Lovely, right?

Inner Journey:
EMBRACE YOUR LIFE
“If there is a sin against life, it consists perhaps not so much in despairing of life, as in hoping for another life, and in eluding the implacable grandeur of this life.”
— Albert Camus
Have you taken ownership of your life?
When we own our lives, we accept what we’ve inherited and the experiences we hold in our memories. We also lay claim to our right to create new conditions if we’re not happy with what’s come before. We assume responsibility for changing what does not suit us. We acknowledge our own special talents and skills, and truly comprehend our right to enjoy the journey. In short, we embrace the meaning and purpose, the mystery and the beauty of our lives.
“Recognize that life is what you get when you’re born … living is what you do with it.”
— Jim Allen
“It began in mystery, and it will end in mystery, but what a savage and beautiful country lies in between.”
— Diane Ackerman

A Note from the Universe
The seemingly coincidental thing about abundance, health, clarity, friendships, looking fine, and happiness is that they all feel normal.
Which to someone extremely observant, would probably mean something…

Patheos Pagan: Magical Miami: Witchy Tips for a Weekend Getaway
About a month ago I found myself on a plane headed to Miami to go an electronic music festival…not a situation I normally prefer to find myself in but it was a bucket list trip for my sister so off I went. I was already apprehensive about being in a large crowd full of very drunk ‘spring breakers’ so before heading to the festival we did several protection spells and asked for our spirit guides to heighten our awareness.
