Happy Summer Solstice,

Today is the official start of summer, the longest day of the year, a time to celebrate the abundance in your garden and in your life. In the Pagan tradition we are at the half way point of the year and  the Sun God has reaches his full strength, his face that of the Greenman. Fairies and magick are also abundant today look for their faces hiding among the flowers.  Our thought for the day is my wish for you!

Happy Tuesday,

Hope is sometimes a precarious thing. When things go wrong we often feel or feel that things are “hopeless”. The truth is that hope doesn’t die it simply becomes dormant for a time. Remember the ‘one good thing” (we’ve talked about it!)? Always look for it, because hope lives there. Place your one good thing in a cocoon with other good things and pretty soon your butterfly will emerge. It’s a transformation worthy of nurturing.

Work, work work… sometimes it seem like it’s all we do. We get so caught up in it and so “busy” that we just forget to live and work becomes our whole world. Do you remember the old Harry Chapin song, Cat’s In The Cradle? Well that song pretty much sums up this quote. making a living is important and it’s a necessary evil but  always make time to enjoy and take part in your life. You definitely won’t regret it!

One  question people ask themselves is “How can I change my life?”  Yes, change can be scary if we choose to see it that way. The first thing change requires is a change of heart. A change of heart requires letting go and moving on to better things. If I had $100 for everytime someone said “Letting go isn’t that simple.” I’d be rich. Of course it’s NOT SIMPLE, nothing worthwhile ever is. You work at it until you get it right. So….. do you want to be happy or stay miserable?

Humans are greedy creatures, the more they have , the more they want. Some of the richest people I know have very little. They don’t have expensive toys, cars, or clothes. They don’t take expensive trips and vacations. Yet they’re happy. The key to this kind of “richness” is in being thankful for you have. it comes seeing those things through eyes of gratitude and honoring life’s seemingly simple pleasures. So the question is………what are you thankful for?
