The sprawling Bear
Growled deep in the sky;
And Orion’s hair
Streamed sparkling by:
But the North sighed low,
Snow, snow, more snow!

A Bountiful Moment:
Life and Awareness is found in the Doing
Daily Thought
There are times in life when you just have to jump or do it! Acting instead of thinking creates your life momentum into the next space, chapter or journey. Fear and/or judgement can keep you thinking about something for so long and the only way to stop the cycle is to make the move and act. The actual doing is where your life lessons are learned. Your actions are what propels you into growth.
Daily Practice
Take a break today from thinking. Let go of your deep thought analyzation, or introspection of self. Focus on the doing. Do something for yourself that makes you smile or laugh. Or, take a leap and put into action something that you have held in your thoughts for a while. Move into the next phase of your journey by overcoming the challenging thoughts that keep you still. Become aware that you are special and unique by doing.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

Mother Nature Network: Farmer saves oldest-known living sea eagle
While out on a Saturday afternoon, a farmer in North Iceland noticed an eagle struggling along the banks of the Miðfjörður river. After watching the bird unsuccessfully try to fly, Þórarinn Rafnsson realized the bird was injured. He managed to toss his jacket over the bird while it was sitting in tall grass and then he took it home. There he fed the bird a much-appreciated dinner of wild salmon and lamb.

Inner Journey
SMILE!
“Smile, it’s free therapy.”
— Doug Horton
I’ve learned that if I put a smile on my face when I’m feeling down, my spirits will automatically lift. The body knows that a smile means happiness.
Knowing this doesn’t mean I’m always willing to do it. Many times, I have absolutely refused to cheer myself up. Isn’t that interesting!
It’s a clue that sometimes the ego positively enjoys being miserable. It can be enlightening to explore the pay-offs we get from our black moods.
“Depend upon it that if a man talks of his misfortunes there is something in them that is not disagreeable to him; for where there is nothing but pure misery there is never any recourse to the mention of it.”
— Samuel Johnson

Excellence
“When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.”
-Helen Keller (1914)
Excellence is difficult to measure. In the Olympics there is a judging system of points and scores to compare the athlete’s performances. But when it comes to our day to day lives, excellence for each one of us is doing the best that we can do. We know when we’re slacking off. We know when we can do better. We’re the only ones who can make that judgment accurately. And when we do strive for excellence, when we put ourselves out there and really give it our all, we know it, we can feel it.
