Beliefnet: The Lessons of Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was one of the most important spiritual leaders in history, a man who was once eulogized as the spokesman for the conscience of man. Gandhi, given the title Mahatma, which is similar to the Western term, Saint, is credited with legitimizing India’s quest for freedom from the British Empire, easing the transfer of power that would later occur

A Bountiful Moment:
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.”

Daily Thought
Being grateful allows you to see all the wonderful things and opportunities that surround you. It give you the perspective of support and happiness. It is the attitude that gives birth to all other good things.
Daily Practice
Throughout your day say quietly to yourself or write down everything you are grateful for. Make sure to note everything that comes to mind no matter how big or small. If it presents as a challenge be grateful for the growth it provides. Acknowledge and be grateful for all things that cross your path. This practice allows you to be open to accepting all the greatness that that you have to offer, and all the greatness that will return.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

Patheos-Pagan: 10 Important Traditional Witches
Last year I put together a few articles spotlighting the 25 Most Influential People in the Development of Modern Paganism. It was fun and was read by a lot of folks and even resulted in a few other similar lists, most notably a 25 person Canadian list (in my defense Sable I didn’t even list 25 Americans!) and 13 influential figures in Goddess Spirituality. The original articles inspired a lot of comments too, mostly along the lines of I can’t believe Person Y didn’t make your list. Usually those criticisms were spot-on, I picked twenty-five folks but a credible case could be made for lots of people I left off my initial list.

Inner Journey
IMPRISONED BY YOUR THOUGHTS?
“Problems exist only in the human mind.”
— Anthony de Mello
For most of us, there’s always a long ‘to do’ list. That’s a fact.
And it’s easy to feel victimized. ‘Poor me!’ That’s not a fact – that’s a choice.
Experiment with your life to explore how much your mind is your jailer. Simply let go of the ‘oh woe’ kinds of thoughts. Silence your mind. Be right here, right now. Decide what you will do now and do it, without buying in to the mind’s sob story. When one task is done, you can then choose another.
Allowing the mind to agonize about the size of the ‘to do’ list just makes us tired before we even get started. It doesn’t have to be this way.
“Don’t water your weeds.”
— Harvey Mackay

Business
“You are never giving, nor can you ever give, enough service.”
-James R. Cook
There is always more that we can do to help. Opportunities are around us every day. At the grocery store, on the sidewalk, in cyberspace, at school or at work. We are here to help each other, every day in every way. When we just open up our awareness, we can see where we are needed. Every business is a service business.
