The Scientifically Proven way To Unlock The Transformational Power of Setbacks
When tragedy strikes, surrendering to your sadness and staying in bed all day sometimes seem like the only option. But it’s possible to have an entirely different reaction to a serious setback: You can actually come back from something hurtful or tragic stronger and with a better perspective on life.
A Bountiful Moment:
Our quest is not for material satisfaction but for internal peace, love and understanding.
Are you constantly looking for outside satisfaction to support who you are or what you aspire to be? The outside materials you desire are only a sign that inside you are yearning for more self-love, and understanding. You are whole and good just by being. You do not need the additional garb of other things to make you perfect. You are the perfect example of perfection without anything added. Your understanding of this is what brings boundless opportunities and an end to searching for satisfaction.
Look at what you yearn to acquire today. Is it more material things, food, money, or the need to have someone constantly remind you that you are loved? These desires are a window into your internal lack of faith in yourself. They are a way for you to avoid your struggling need to acquire the knowledge and understanding of who you believe you are and what you are projecting into the world. Fight the urge to satisfy yourself today with outside support and look inside to develop the internal support and strength you need.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

THE KEY TO THE FUTURE
“The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and their destination.”
— John Schaar
We’ve been taught to look forward to our future. Somehow, we believe, things will be better then. But the future is not available to be lived – we can only live NOW. So what are we doing to live best right now? What are we doing now that will bear fruit when we reach some future now?
“Let him who would enjoy a good future waste none of his present.”
— Roger Babson
A Note from the Universe
Do you know why dogs are so quick to wag their tails and cats are so quick to purr? Even the ones that have been lonely, abused, and betrayed?
Because, as is true of all animals, they were instilled with the distant awareness that no matter what the world shows them, they’re still deeply loved and needed, that their presence alone has made a difference, and that in just the shake of a leg, seemingly without reason or rhyme, everything can FANTASTICALLY change for the better.
As is true of all people, except sometimes they tend to forget.
Today’s Recipe: Homemade Vegetable Bouillon
Fresh vegetables sometimes get soft or soggy before we use them, right? Spinach always does and bell peppers often do. Even celery gets limp after a while, particularly for those of us who buy it by the bunch. What to do so as not to waste hard-earned money? Freeze those veggies. Chop them up to save time later, remove cores (but not necessarily seeds) from peppers, cut off any small discoloured bits, put them in a bag and stick ’em in the freezer. Tough stems of broccoli and asparagus, even the cores of cauliflower and cabbage. Chop and freeze. Leftover veg after dinner? Not enough for another serving? Bag and freeze. Even a bit of leftover cooked rice needn’t be thrown away. Bag and freeze.

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.”
-John Howard Payne (1791-1852)
Even after the most marvelous vacation – we usually return and say “it’s so good to be home!” There’s something about the comfort and familiarity about our own personal space that keeps us coming back. Remember Dorothy clicking her heels together in The Wizard of Oz? It doesn’t have to be anything grand or spectacular. Just having our own little defined area makes us feel a part of something bigger. I love what Jimmy and Rosalind Carter have started with Habitat for Humanity. By helping to build homes for families that need them, they’re giving so much more than financial assistance. They’re giving a sense of pride and permanence that is invaluable.
