Now the beautiful business of summer is over,
Earth wraps herself in a bright, leaf-patterned shawl.
The hives cement the prodigal juice of the clover
And spendthrift gold is hoarded in bin and stall.

ThoughtCo: Setting Up Your Samhain Altar
Samhain is the time of year when many members of the Pagan community celebrate the cycle of life and death. This Sabbat is about the end of the harvest, the calling of the spirits, and the changing aspects of the god and goddess. Try some or even all of these ideas—obviously, space may be a limiting factor for some, but use what calls to you most.

Hello witches! After a long break, I am glad to be writing again on this blog! Today I am sharing a spell that I created to resolve a relationship issue. If you need to set things straight with someone, that spell is meant for you.

Elephant Journal: Mindful Challenge: How to Use the Energy of the Changing Seasons to Reflect Inward.
It’s officially fall, even here in Los Angeles.
I won’t lie and say I haven’t been craving cooler temperatures, warm socks, the smell of wood burning in the air, and changing leaves. I’m actually drinking a pumpkin spice latte while writing this, and it’s almost 80 degrees outside (I know, I know #sobasic).
MNN: Photographer spots rare polka-dotted zebra
It’s the first known sighting at this reserve in Kenya.
Photographer Frank Liu was in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve in search of rhinos when he came across a rare sight.
Liu noticed a zebra foal with dark fur mixed with white polka dots. Because a zebra’s stripes are typically unique, this was a first time this reserve had ever seen this sort of coloration.
EarthSky News: Moon pairs up with Saturn on October 5
Tonight – October 5, 2019 – the moon will be at or near its first quarter phase, coupling up with the planet Saturn on the sky’s dome. What’s more, the lit side of the moon will be pointing at the blazing planet Jupiter beneath the moon and Saturn. Watch for the celestial drama to illuminate the movie screen of the sky as soon as darkness falls.
Patheos-Pagan: A House Cleansing Ritual: Spiritually Protecting Your Space
Let it be known you’re a witch, a Druid, or any sort of magical practitioner and the requests for magical assistance will find you. By far the most frequent request I get is for house cleansings and blessings.
“Our sadness is an energy we discharge in order to heal. …Sadness is painful. We try to avoid it. Actually discharging sadness releases the energy involved in our emotional pain. To hold it in is to freeze the pain within us. The therapeutic slogan is that grieving is the ‘healing feeling.'”
— John Bradshaw
“To weep is to make less the depth of grief.”
— William Shakespeare
“There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow, when we have not yet known what it is to have suffered and be healed, to have despaired and recovered hope.”
— George Eliot
“Seek not happiness too greedily, and be not fearful of unhappiness.”

“Snowflakes, leaves, humans, plants, raindrops, stars, molecules, microscopic entities all come in communities. The singular cannot in reality exist.”
-Paula Gunn Allen, Grandmothers of the Light, 1991
When we think of the whole grand concept of “we are all one” – it’s kind of a stepping stone to think first of our own communities. We belong to lots of little groups – our families, our neighborhoods, our clubs and organizations. And these communities all function because of the people involved with them! They become an entity unto themselves. They have a life of their own. And these smaller communities are all part of larger communities, too – which in turn interact and grow with others. It all starts with each of us as individuals, and expands to include the entire planet.
Daily Tarot: The Star
Wake up with a bright, buoyant spirit that will prevent any snag or difficulty from getting you down. You should acknowledge no setbacks or let any problem get in your way. If something comes up that needs more attention, you’ll deal with it without thinking twice. You can deal with any delay and make a quick if not instantaneous recovery.
