Just before the death of flowers,
And before they are buried in snow,
There comes a festival season,
When nature is all aglow.

Spiritual Unite: Symbolism Of Yew Tree – Life, Death And Resurrection
The symbolism of the Yew tree is rich and well documented.
It is sometimes known as The Tree Of Life, and much of the meaning of the Yew tree surrounds ideas of life, death, and resurrection.
ThoughtCo: Hera, Greek Goddess of Marriage
Hera is known as the first of Greek goddesses. As wife of Zeus, she’s the leading lady of all the Olympians. Despite her husband’s philandering ways—or perhaps because of them—she is the guardian of marriage and the sanctity of the home.
MBG: 4 Ways To Practice Active Meditation If You Can’t Sit Still
You want to meditate. You know it is good for you. You’ve heard about all the benefits, from a calmer mind to less stress. But for some reason you just can’t seem to sit still. Maybe you don’t think you have time or you’re a little fidgety, or maybe you want something more tangible to focus on, whatever the reason, sometimes meditation can feel a little, well, passive.
Elephant Journal: Listen to your Intuition: the Guidance you Seek Comes from Within.
You are the most important person in your life.
This perspective is not being selfish, arrogant, or greedy in any way. It is just the truth.
You spend all of your time with you. You can only control your own actions. And your choices and actions have an impact on the immediate present and on the future
MNN: Knitted anatomy kits offer cruelty-free dissections
Vermont-based knitter’s woolly animal dissections are much cuddlier than the real deal.
Any student who’s ever been through an anatomy lab can remember the sights, sounds and smells of animal dissection. The flash of innards, crunch of bone, and the eye-watering stench of formaldehyde combine to make for one unpleasant experience.
EarthSky News: Watch Capella flashing red and green
This evening, check out one of the flashiest stars in the sky. It’s so bright that every year in northern autumn, we get questions from people in the Northern Hemisphere who see a bright star twinkling with red and green flashes. It’s found low in the northeastern sky at nightfall as seen from Northern Hemisphere locations. That star is likely Capella, which is actually a golden star.
Patheos-Pagan: 6 Minutes of Witchcraft: Effective Sigil Witchery & Magick
What makes the Sigil Witchery method so effective? What are other steps you can take to make your sigils more effective? We take a 6 minute dive into getting quicker, better results. (This is the first of several videos I’ll be posting regarding my method of crafting sigils.)
PROBLEMS OR SOLUTIONS?
“If you expect the best, you will be the best. Learn to use one of the most powerful laws in this world; change your mental habits to belief instead of disbelief. Learn to expect, not to doubt. In so doing, you bring everything into the realm of possibility.”
— Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
Stop and be aware! Have you been thinking about what you want or what you don’t want?
It’s so easy to lock our minds onto problems rather than opening to receive solutions. But what we think is what we get. This is so important! If we continually focus on problems and negatives, that’s where we’ll stay.
“No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.”
— Helen Keller
A Note from the Universe
Options multiply when insistence lessens.
Today’s Recipe: Homemade Pumpkin Raisin Bread
When I think of the fall season, I often think of homemade pumpkin bread. What I really like about this recipe is the fact that you can use canned or fresh pumpkin. This bread will freeze well and will keep up to 3 months in your freezer.

“Men love to wonder, and that is the seed of our science.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Emerson always states it so well. Wonder is that “what if” that spurs us on to progress. It is the seed of science, but also the seed of creativity. We come up with ideas before we can make them into a reality – and those ideas come from wonder. Let’s make it a point to spend some time just wondering today.
Daily Tarot: The Emperor:
Kindness will take you very far today. It’s not a show of weakness or inferiority to engage in that random act of kindness. Think of it as acting out of generosity of spirit. The bigger your heart today, the more respect and cooperation will come your way. Make sure your kindness is genuine and from a genuine place. Then you’re virtually unassailable.
