Cat’s Morning Bits for October 25, 2019
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Just before the death of flowers,
And before they are buried in snow,
There comes a festival season,
When nature is all aglow.

Starlight Witch: Magic To Do On Vacation: Easy Witchcraft To Make The Most Of Your Time Off
Vacations are a chance to get away from the daily grind and live life on a whole other scale. While on vacation, you see new places and have new experiences. It’s a magical time, to say the least.
ThoughtCo: Pagan Offerings to the Gods
In many Pagan and Wiccan traditions, it’s not uncommon to make some sort of offering or sacrifice to the gods. Bear in mind that despite the reciprocal nature of our relationship with the divine, it’s not a matter of “I’m offering you this stuff so you’ll grant my wish.” It’s more along the lines of “I honor you and respect you, so I’m giving you this stuff to show you how much I appreciate your intervention on my behalf.
The Teraktys: A Simple Samhain Ritual for Modern Witches
Hello witches! This week, I am sharing with you a Samhain ritual that I created last year for my coven. This ritual is so simple that it can be performed in solitary as well. I hope that it will inspire you for your own Samhain ritual!
Elephant Journal: How Empaths can Survive Work Overwhelm.
I am an empath, and until I had a grasp on my empathic gifts, working in a cubicle was torture.
I would spend a lot of time in the bathroom stall with tears silently falling, my shoulders shaking from sobbing without a clue of what just happened or why I was feeling so lost and hurt.
MNN: 20 fantastic photos that offer a big peek into a small world
From the geometric patterns of a housefly’s eye to the colorful inner workings of a pregnant crustacean, the winners of this year’s Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition all captured magical microscopic moments.
EarthSky News: Watch for false dawn or dusk
The September equinox came on September 23, 2019, and the moon is new on October 28. That combination makes these next few weeks ideal for seeing the zodiacal light, also known as the false dawn. If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, look east, about an hour before the light of true dawn.
Patheos-Pagan: Pumpkin Magick: Mighty Jack-O-Lantern
As a Witch, the celebration of Halloween and Samhain (honoring those departed and communing with ancestors, deities, and other spirit beings) are important to me. Power grows throughout October, as well as a noticeable thinning of the Veil.
STOP THE BATTLES
“When you fight something, you’re tied to it forever. As long as you’re fighting it, you’re giving it power.”
— Anthony de Mello
What are you fighting?
Resistance always brings pain. Examine your struggle. What does your personality want from the situation? What does your soul want? What can you learn from this?
Always strive to mend separation and achieve unity. Always choose love over fear. If you can embrace whatever you are struggling against, the struggle will disappear.
“What you resist persists. And only what you look at, and own, can disappear. You make it disappear by simply changing your mind about it.”
— Neale Donald Walsch
A Note from the Universe
Generally speaking the busier someone is, the faster time flies, the less they worry, the more friends they have, the farther they travel, the richer they become, the quicker they rebound, and the happier they are.
Today’s Recipe: Mexican Fruit Salad
My friends and I are absolutely addicted to Mexican fruit salad. It’s chock full of mangos, pineapples, apples, and coconuts, topped with a zesty, chili lime drizzle. We originally had them prepared for us at these fruit stands, but we’ve noticed the prices have absolutely skyrocketed. Now we make our own. This is great because we make it with things we especially like. I love to eat this year round!

“Wonder is a state of mind in which… nothing is taken for granted… Each thing is a surprise, being is unbelievable. We are amazed at seeing anything at all; amazed not only at particular values and things but at the unexpectedness of being as such, at the fact that there is being at all.”
-Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972)
Wonder is wonderful! I like Heschel’s definition of wonder – it shows the freshness, the newsness, associated with wonder. Wonder is just one of the things that makes life so beautiful.
Daily Tarot: Justice
You may be dealing with people who feel inferior or weaker than you, so take care to not run over anyone. Equally, they do not have to serve as an excuse for you to go slower or do less than you know is necessary. Be firm but not too firm, determined but not too determined. Get a lot of good work done.
