A deeper awareness of our soul is urging us to create a firmer connection between the tangible material world and the subtle luminous realms of the soul. As a result, every aspect of our lives is being reviewed and adjusted to enable the deeper egoic aspects of our human nature to dissipate.

ThoughtCo: What Is Magical Binding?
In the course of your magical studies, you may at some point hear someone use the word “binding” in reference to a spell or working. Typically, a magical binding is simply a spell or working that restrains someone metaphysically, preventing them from doing something.

Daily Good: Herd: A Spiritual Journey
In 1999 Liz Mitten Ryan, award-winning artist, mother of six and founder of a successful fine art publishing company in Vancouver, moved with her architect husband, and a herd of eleven horses, to Gateway 2 Ranch — a 320-acre slice of paradise nestled in the grasslands of British Columbia. For several months their home was a simple tent in the midst of an enchanted landscape studded with lakes, wild flowers, emerald hills and whispering woods. In this vast solitude it became customary for Liz to spend her days following the herd. { read more }

MNN: One of the oldest bald eagles ever recorded just crashed through a man’s window
Every year, as many as a billion birds meet their end with a thump. Too often, even the most eagle-eyed flyers can’t fathom the concept of glass. And windows — in office towers, shops and homes — shrug them off with fatal indifference.

EarthSky News: Moon in Winter Circle February 4 and 5
On February 4 and 5, 2020, you’ll find the waxing gibbous moon shining inside a large asterism that we in the Northern Hemisphere often call the Winter Circle. It’s a very large star configuration made of brilliant winter stars. Around the world on this night, the moon shines inside the Circle. From anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere, look for this pattern to fill up much of the eastern half of sky at nightfall. Around 9 p.m.

Patheos-Pagan: Frigga: Norse Queen. Hearth Mother. Sky Goddess.
In a recent post, I wrote about what it is like to work with more than one goddess. My witchcraft and devotional practice include Hekate, Brighid, and Frigga. And as of a couple of months ago, I am now also working with the Cailleach.

Inner Journey:
CONSCIOUS COMMUNICATION
“If we want to be compassionate we must be conscious of the words we use. We must both speak and listen from the heart.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg
Conscious communication requires us to be truly present to what is occurring. When we are unconscious, we both speak to and react to others out of habit. And in the face of what we perceive as someone’s judgment and criticism, we automatically (and unconsciously) defend, withdraw or attack.
To communicate consciously requires attention to two areas:
1. I need to speak from awareness of what I am perceiving, feeling and needing, and
2. Through watching and listening, I need to be aware of those same needs in others.
“When we focus on clarifying what is being observed, felt, and needed rather than on diagnosing and judging, we discover the depth of our own compassion.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg

A Note from the Universe
Ever notice how those who give 100% just to “get by” in life, usually do? How those who are willing to do just about anything to save their relationships, usually do? And how those who seem to make it their life’s mission to add more years to theirs, often succeed?
Thought so.
Then you must wonder, too, why they don’t just give 100% to living in abundance, do just about anything to celebrate their relationships, and make it their mission to add more life to their years… huh?
Thoughts become things,

“Savory, smoky, easy-to-make chili. Sometimes I add a can of corn, too. Maybe have some sweet corn bread muffins with honey on the side. You could use black beans, pinto beans, pink beans, or small red beans in place of the kidney beans.”

Courage
“Courage charms us because it indicates that a man loves an idea better than all things in the world, that he is thinking neither of his bed, not his dinner, nor his money, but will venture all to put in act the invisible thought of his mind.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Courage is attractive! What made Prince Charming so charming? His courage! The way that he fought dragons and witches and wouldn’t let anything get in his way as he worked towards his goal. His goal was the most important thing to him – and his goal was love. It takes courage to love like that, with such abandon, with such totality. Who wouldn’t be attracted to someone so courageous?

Daily Tarot: The Fool
Boredom could be a problem today, so put more energy into finishing what needs to get done before you decide to slow down or stop for the day. Once you’ve done the minimum required for the day, the rest of the time becomes yours to do with as you please. You don’t really mean to waste the rest of the day, but you don’t have to burn yourself out, either.
