ThoughtCo: Celebrating Ostara, the Spring Equinox
With the arrival of March comes the promise of spring—the month is said to roar in like a lion, and if we’re really lucky, roll out like a lamb. Meanwhile, on or around the 21st of the month, we have Ostara to celebrate. It’s the time of the vernal equinox if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, and it’s a true marker that Spring and warmer,

MBG: Your March 2020 Horoscope Is Here: What’s In The Stars For You?
March comes in not so much like a lion…but certainly like the kind of animal you’re wary of encountering outside its cage. Amid headlines of a global public health pandemic and plunging markets (which we predicted months ago in our 2020 Horoscope book), we’ve got nine days of Mercury retrograde left, as the planet of communication, technology, and travel rounds out a backspin that started on February 16.

Daily Good: A Window as Wide as the World
“One afternoon, my two-year-old daughter and I idled around our apartment complex in Bangalore, watching a dragonfly hover over a thorn, when suddenly she began pointing toward the fringe of lawn below. There, a cat leaped at a wiry viper hatchling as it peeped out of its hole…” This evocative short piece describes a mother and daughter’s glimpse of urban wildlife.{ read more }

MNN: Red pandas are actually 2 separate species
Quite possibly the cutest animal in the world is actually two different species, researchers have discovered.
The bushy-tailed red panda that lives in the high forests of Asia is already endangered, and this new discovery may make conservation efforts even more important.

EarthSky News: Moon and Winter Circle March 3-4
These next few evenings – March 3 and 4, 2020 – the waxing moon is moving inside the Winter Circle, sometimes called the Winter Hexagon. It’s a large circular (hexagonal) star asterism – not one of the 88 official constellations, but just a noticeable pattern of stars – consisting of six 1st-magnitude stars in six separate constellations

Inner Journey:
GROWING OURSELVES
“The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.”
— Oliver Wendell Holmes
We are all on a life-long journey. It is a search for who we are and why we are here. It is a journey that expands our consciousness.
There is an urge within each of us to move forward in life. It is an urge to become more whole, to find more meaning, and eventually to help others. It is human nature to strive for a sense of well-being.
We all go through the same growth cycles, though our experiences may appear entirely different. By understanding the process of personal and spiritual growth, we can work more effectively with the process, instead of fighting and resisting it.
“We can learn to be the catalysts for our own change.”
— Sarah Ban Breathnach

Evolution
“I think it not improbable that man, like the grub that prepares a chamber for the winged thing it never has seen but is to be – that man may have cosmic destinies that he does not understand. And so beyond the vision of battling races and an impoverished earth, I catch a dreaming glimpse of peace.”
-Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. (1841-1935)
If we all hold to that vision of peace, of compassion, of goodness – we, as a society and as a world, will evolve towards that vision. Like the caterpillar that was born to evolve into a butterfly – we have a purpose which lies beyond our daily scope of events. There is so much more to us than we can see. And so much that we can contribute than we can comprehend.

Daily Tarot: Death
It’s probably nothing you can prepare for, but the Death card indicates that a sudden change is headed your way. Does it signify an actual, literal death or dramatic end? No. You may still go through a similar grieving process, but this death is of the figurative variety. In order for something new to begin, something else has to end. A feeling of liberation will follow.
