When elm leaves are as big as a shilling,
Plant kidney beans, if to plant ’em you’re willing;
When elm leaves are as big as a penny,
You must plant kidney beans, if you mean to have any.
-T. F. Thiselton-Dyer (1848-1928)
Spirit Library: Focus Your Attention Within (a message from Kate Spreckley)
This is a time of long awaited transformation where we are being freed from the limits of the past. Where we can move beyond our wounding and into the light of a new era, a new consciousness and a new reality.
ThoughtCo: How to Create Traditional Native American Prayer Ties
For many years, Native Americans have offered prayer ties to the Great Spirit in exchange for blessings. It is an old tradition among the Lakota and Seminole peoples. Even if you are not Native American, you may study and practice this earth-centered ritual of making and using prayer ties as an intention tool for prayer or healing.
MBG: Lucid Dreaming For Beginners: What Is It & How To Do It
Odds are, you’ve had a lucid dream at least once—and might wish you could have them more often. To find out more about this mysterious and fascinating type of dream, we got in touch with Robert Waggoner, lucid dreaming expert and author of Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self. Here’s what he had to say about what lucid dreams are, what they feel like, and if it’s possible (or even safe) to guide your body into having more of them.
Daily Dream Meaning: Coworker/Colleague
1. Oddly enough, dreaming of a colleague rarely involves issues at work. The focus is more likely to be on traits this person possesses that mean something to you. For example, if this person’s voice is especially loud, whatever he or she is saying to you in the dream is especially significant, and you should pay attention.
2. If this person is someone you feel you can trust, there is some issue in your life involving trust that needs to be resolved.
3. If you dream that a coworker whom you don’t particularly like suddenly acts like your best friend, or a colleague whom you like and respect turns hostile, be prepared for a reversal of some kind – for better or worse.

Elephant Journal: Embracing God the Mother: What I Learned from Shakta Tantra & what Spiritual Women should Consider.
A year ago, I stopped praying to God the Father.
I grew up going to Presbyterian church. Religion was never forced on me, but I found much comfort and inspiration in reading the Psalms and hearing sermons. God the Father was never an idea, or a choice; it just was. I never questioned an alternative reality.
MNN: Why do squirrels spend their time in trees and chipmunks prefer the ground?
At first glance, it’s easy to mistake a squirrel for a chipmunk. Especially when you spot one, twitching and darting across the yard like an electrified muppet.
EarthSky News: Late May: Moon in Leo the Lion
As darkness falls these next several evenings – May 28, 29, and 30, 2020 – watch the moon as it travels in front of the constellation Leo the Lion. When the moon first enters Leo, it’ll display a rather wide waxing crescent phase. When the moon finally leaves Leo a few days later, it’ll show a waxing gibbous phase. Midway though its trek in Leo, the moon will exhibit its half-illuminated first quarter phase.
Patheos-Pagan: Fairy Lore and the Plant Kingdom
Plant lore and fairy lore are often intimately connected. The magical provenance of many plants is due to their folkloric association with the fairy realm. Fairies were thought to make their homes in certain plants and were believed to be responsible for tending to their growth.
Pagan Playlist: Tina Turner – Sarvesham Svastir Bhavatu (Peace Mantra)
“Everything seeks its source.”
— a universal principle
Our spiritual journey unfolds through 2 stages.
1. THE PATH OF PERSONALITY – We arise from the one source of all, to be born as individuals in a world of form. In this physical world, we experience separation and limitation. This is a time of immersion in a world of effects, form, ego, distortion, illusion and pain.
2. THE PATH OF SOUL – When we have experienced enough pain, we find our way back home to our spiritual source. We let go of the illusion of separation to embrace unity and wholeness. We work with cause instead of effects.
Paradoxically, it’s only with a strong and healthy personality that we become capable of expressing soul. WHERE ARE YOU ON YOUR PATH? Are you struggling to do more and have more? Are you aware of your soul challenging you to open to the bigger picture of life?
“Two people have been living in you all your life. One is the ego, garrulous, demanding, hysterical, calculating; the other is the hidden spiritual being, whose still voice of wisdom you have only rarely heard or attended to – you have uncovered in yourself your own wise guide.”
— Sogyal Rinpoche
A Note from the Universe
You eat to nourish your body. You sleep to rejuvenate your spirit. You study, work, and apply yourself for emotional gains. You exercise to tighten your muscles. You listen to music to entertain yourself.
You’re not at all adverse to investing time and energy for the rewards you seek.
So how about you spare just a few minutes every day to visualize the life of your dreams? Because nothing else you could ever do will make such a profound difference in your fortunes and misfortunes as working with new pictures in your mind.
Can you start today?

“Genius… means little more than the faculty of perceiving in an unhabitual way.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Ah! How true! It’s thinking “out of the box” or “breaking the mold!” It’s breaking that karmic cycle of doing the same thing, the same way, over and over again. Genius is originality!
Daily Tarot: Wheel of Fortune
Whatever you have planned or prepared for today, it probably won’t happen according to the script. Be flexible and expect the unexpected. It may not be anything big, so don’t completely abandon your agenda unless you must. It could just be a day of endless interruptions. Keep that sense of humor handy, and maybe find an inspiring idea or two in it all.
