The hollow winds begin to blow,
The clouds look black, the glass is low;
The soot falls down, the spaniels sleep,
And spiders from their cobwebs peep.
–Dr. Edward Jenner (1749–1823)

Spirit Library: Into the Unknown (a message from Kate Spreckley)

Being a time of retrogrades we are offered the opportunity to review, re-vision and remember. The incoming energies are flooding our world and thus awakening within us that which we have previously been unable to see, understand or know. We are being urged to surrender into this process and allow our internal world to shift and adjust.

EarthSky News: Moon sweeps by Jupiter and Saturn

These next several evenings – October 21, 22 and 23, 2020 – watch for the waxing moon to sweep by the gas giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter, which is the brighter of the two, beams some 13 times brighter than Saturn. The only starlike object to outshine Jupiter in the evening sky right now is the red planet Mars, but Mars sits low in the eastern sky at evening dusk and nightfall. So there’s no way to mistake Jupiter for Mars.

Pagan Playlist: Karliene – Oh Willow Waly

“It is permissible to take life’s blessings with both hands provided thou dost know thyself prepared in the opposite event to take them just as gladly. This applies to food and friends and kindred, to anything God givesand takes away… As long as God is satisfied do thou rest content. If he is pleased to want something else of thee, still rest content.”
— Meister Eckhart

Our life begins to change in magical ways when we open to the experience of life AS IT IS. With acceptance, we stop fighting what is happening. And this creates space, an opening for new relationships to unfold.

Explore unconditionally saying yes to the facts of life. Accept your past and where you are now. Unconditional acceptance is unconditional love and this is healing.

“Sometimes what seems like surrender isn’t surrender at all. It’s about what’s going on in our hearts. About seeing clearly the way life is and accepting it and being true to it, whatever the pain, because the pain ofnot being true to it is far, far greater.”
— Nicholas Evans

A Note from the Universe

Oh, we’re busy all right. We’re absolutely slammed; everywhere, always. Aligning planets, churning waterfalls, guiding sparrows, and raising more suns for more planets in more galaxies than a rocket scientist could ever count.

Yet still, never a moment goes by when there aren’t angels here, working their little hearts out for you.

Of this you can be sure.

Daily Wisdom
October 21, 2020

“In my films I always wanted to make people see deeply. I don’t want to show things, but to give people the desire to see.”

-Agnes Varda, in John Robert Columbo, “Popcorn in Paradise” 1979

I quote Gandhi quite a bit in WisdomNews. We can learn a lot from what this very wise man had to say. And we can also learn from how he lived his life. Fortunately, there is a beautiful movie, called “Gandhi,” which gives us some insight into his character. It’s amazing that in basically 3 hours we can see the kinds of things that Gandhi experienced. It gives us insight into our own nature, and our own potential for growth.

-Lissa Coffey

A change has been in the air for some time and today the actual transformation could happen. There’s nothing to be afraid of, or to dread, or to fear losing. Room is being made and energy is being set aside for something new and better for you. It could be something small or something large, but whatever it is will be meaningful and affect your daily life.
