Daily Good: What is Time and Does it Always Move Forward?

If the universe is movement, it will not be in one direction only. We think of our lives as linear but it is the spin of the earth that allows us to observe time.

  • Jeanette Winterson –

What is Time and Does it Always Move Forward?

“While we take for granted that time has a given direction, physicists don’t: most natural laws are time reversible which means they would work just as well if time was defined as running backwards. So why does time always move forward? And will it always do so?” { read more }

EarthSky News: Star-hop to the Coma star cluster

Long ago, the Coma star cluster represented the Lion’s tufted tail. It is a beautiful cluster, well worth taking the time to pick out in the night sky. You can see Leo from the suburbs, but you’ll need a dark sky to find the cluster. In mid-evening now, as seen from mid-northern latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere, the constellation of the Lion will be high in the southern sky. You’ll see the Lion at nightfall, too, though more in the south-southeastern portion of the sky.

Pagan Playlist: Relaxing Celtic Music – Spring Charm

“If you expect the best, you will be the best. Learn to use one of the most powerful laws in this world; change your mental habits to belief instead of disbelief. Learn to expect, not to doubt. In so doing, you bringeverything into the realm of possibility.”
— Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Stop and be aware! Have you been thinking about what you want or what you don’t want?

It’s so easy to lock our minds onto problems rather than opening to receive solutions. But what we think is what we get. This is so important! If we continually focus on problems and negatives, that’s where we’ll stay.

“No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.”
— Helen Keller

A Note from the Universe

Would there be any point in giving you the gift of imagination, the freedom to think as you choose, and dreams that set your soul on fire if even a single one of them couldn’t come true?

I think not.

I love you too, too much.

Daily Wisdom
April 8, 2021

“Fate keeps on happening.”

-Anita Loos, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1925)

Life keeps on happening. I am hearing that song from Journey in my head right now: “Wheel in the sky keeps on turning, don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow.” I guess that’s what keeps life interesting for us. We can’t control everything that happens in the world, because everyone has free will. So, yes, some things are uncertain – and that is really wonderful! We can have happy surprises at any time.

-Lissa Coffey

Daily Tarot: The Tower

The biggest danger you face today is being aloof and thus fail to see an approaching problem. This can cost you the chance to intercept the difficulty and minimize it, if not avoid it all together. Pay attention without getting paranoid, and take nothing and no one for granted. Danger may not lurk within every single shadow, but a small misstep can sometimes cause problems that are way out of proportion to the cause
