Feng Shui is a healing art that provides a system to move our stuff with intention and see changes come about.

Asian elephants press their lips together and buzz them.

Ask a child what noise an elephant makes and they’ll no doubt lift an arm like a trunk and make a trumpeting sound. But it’s not the only sound these massive animals make. They also squeak.

EarthSky News: 2021’S Closest Planetary Conjunction Is August 19

The closest conjunction of two planets for 2021 happens on August 19 at 04:10 UTC. Depending on where you live worldwide, Mercury and Mars will appear at their closest on the sky’s dome at evening dusk on either August 18 or August 19. They are exceedingly low in the west after sunset. Look first for dazzling Venus, the sky’s brightest planet, above the sunset point. Then, as twilight deepens, search for these two embracing worlds beneath Venus, and close to the horizon.

Inner Journey:

“Freedom of choice is more to be treasured than any possession earth can give.”
— David O. McKay

I want to choose the details of my life. Fortunately, I’ve come to appreciate how important it is to give others the freedom to choose their own paths.

None of us wants our choice robbed from us. I can’t know what’s best for anyone but me. So why give unsolicited advice to others and expect them to follow it?

“The truest characters of ignorance are vanity, and pride and arrogance.”
— Samuel Butler

“What man wants is simply independent choice, whatever that may cost and wherever it may lead.”
— Fyodor Dostoyevsky

A Note from the Universe

Do you think it would be as much fun if you could trade some of the happiest days of your life for not having to experience some of the saddest?

Do you think it would be as much fun if you could guarantee that some of your dreams would come true, by forgoing others?

How about if only your “good” thoughts became things?

Or… would you still want it all?

I knew it! You take after me.

Daily Wisdom
August 19, 2021

“All good abides with him who waiteth wisely.”

-Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)

This scenario is familiar. Have you ever been in a long line, and the person serving customers is just doing the best that they can. Maybe the place is understaffed, or unexpectedly busy. There always seems to be someone who complains, who is impatient, and who makes the experience more aggravating for everyone around. And then there’s the kind-hearted person who uses the time to chat with the other people in line, who steps up and smiles and thanks the person doing the work. That person makes the experience much more pleasant! Next time you’re in line, observe. And choose to wait wisely!

-Lissa Coffey

Daily Tarot: The Magician

It may be hard to be serious and stick to those dull but crucial tasks that keep the day running smoothly. Be systematic, cheerful, and don’t let it show if you feel undervalued or underappreciated. Save your sharp wit and cleverness for another time and place. Time spent with younger people or children can lift your spirits and keep things in perspective for you.
