“You’d be so lean, that blast of January
Would blow you through and through. Now, my fair’st friend,
I would I had some flowers o’ the spring that might
Become your time of day.”

Learn Religions: Recipes for the Imbolc Sabbat
Imbolc is a great time of fire and feasting. It’s the celebration of the goddess Brighid, guardian of the hearth and homefires, as well as the season of the Lupercalia, and of the spring lambing season. For this sabbat, celebrate with foods that honor the hearth and home —breads, grains, and vegetables stored from fall

MBG: The Mantra You Need For 2022, Based On Your Vedic Astrology Moon Sign
If your 2022 has been off to a lackluster start, there’s still time for things to change…for the better. According to Vedic astrology—separate from Western Astrology—the New Year actually takes place on Ugadi (meaning a “new era”), which is April 1. On this day every year, the creator Brahma speaks a “new era” into being.

From within to without
Flows the pattern of my will
Candle magick is probably one of the simplest forms of magick to get started with. You need nothing but the candle and fire to light it with. Candle magick can also be seen to be complete within itself, as the body of the candle is made up from the elements of Earth, Air and Water. To complete you need fire and spirit. Fire is easy, and Spirit can be represented by the wick of the candle, as the wick is where the potential of the candle lies and will be unfolded with. With the candle lit, the flame of your intent will burn

EarthSky News: New comet C/2021 O3 approaching, might brighten in May 2022
A new comet, discovered in late July 2021, is approaching the inner solar system and might reach binocular visibility (at least) by late April and early May 2022. It appears to be a “new” comet visiting the inner solar system for the first time. It appears likely it’s taken millions of years to arrive in our vicinity from the outer part of the Oort cloud. And the comet’s orbit appears hyperbolic.

Around mid-January, after the joy of a new year and an intention of a clean slate, the wheels usually fall off the wagon. All around me, both locally and in my international community, I see people feeling lost, not centered, grouchy, anxious, and all the signs of a mid-January slump

Inner Journey:
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
“It is never about how good your voice is; it is only about feeling the urge to sing, and then having the courage to do it with the voice you are given.”
— Katie in ‘True to Form’ by Elizabeth Berg
How often have you allowed fear and your inner critic to stop you from doing something you were inspired to do?
Helen Keller said, “Life is either a grand adventure or nothing.” When we allow fear and criticism to stop us in our tracks, we give up that grand adventure. What a waste!
“Be an all-out, not a hold-out.”
— Norman Vincent Peale

A Note from the Universe
Persistence, persistence, persistence.
On the surface it might just seem like physical flailing, but spiritually, you’re speaking directly to me and this is what I hear, “Please hear me: There’s simply no way I’m doing without. I refuse to accept ‘maybe,’ ‘sort of,’ or ‘not yet.’ I have the power, I feel the glory, and I am the way. My words quicken the ether, my actions fulfill their prophecy, and thy Kingdom shall come on earth, as it is in heaven…”
And when confronted with such clarity… I’m like putty in your hands.

Risk
“All life is a chance. So take it! The person who goes furthest is the one who is willing to do and dare.”
-Dale Carnegie
We hear it every day. “Just do it.” “Go for it.” We are encouraged to tackle that challenge, to take that risk. We are surrounded by examples of people who take chances with no regrets. Where would Lance Armstrong be now if he was content to ride his bike around the block? Where would civil rights be if Rosa Parks hadn’t refused to give up her seat on the bus? It’s not about going further than other people, it’s about going as far as we can go ourselves.

Daily Tarot: Temperance
Instinct and impulsive action will cause more trouble than they can solve today, so spend more time reasoning things out and being careful about what you say and do. Asking questions is a good idea. It will get you information you need, and show how thorough, bright, and capable you are. It might take a bit longer, but it will save time and effort in the end.
