Treehugger: 10 Spectacular Solar Storms That Have Shaped Earth’s History
The most severe solar storms occurred both before the Space Age and after it.

Every day, solar storms, including solar flares, sunspots, and coronal mass ejections (CMEs), erupt from the Sun out into space. If these disturbances travel the 94-million-mile distance to Earth, their charged particles can forcibly enter our upper atmosphere, causing a smorgasbord of dangers (damaged power grids, communications blackouts, and radiation exposure) and delights (auroral displays

Inner Journey:

REMEMBER YOUR SPIRITUAL SIDE

“The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.”
— Soren Kierkegaard

Reminding ourselves often of our spiritual natures truly changes the quality of our lives. It helps us relax, slow down, lighten up, and generally find more space and joy in life.

When we get down on ourselves or life, we can pull back and ask, “How might my soul regard this situation? What am I being invited to experience?”

This shift in perspective helps us let go of the resistance that always comes with negativity. As energy once again begins to flow, our outlook brightens.

“Spirituality is the sacred center out of which all life comes, including Mondays and Tuesdays and rainy Saturday afternoons in all their mundane and glorious detail. … The spiritual journey is the soul’s life commingling with ordinary life.”
— Christina Baldwin

“It is not my business to think about myself. My business is to think about God. It is for God to think about me.”
— Simone Weil

Thoughts
“When you rule your mind you rule your world. When you choose your thoughts you choose results.”

-Imelda Shanklin

Our minds are so constantly busy that we often forget that we actually have a choice in the matter. We can choose our thoughts! And by choosing our thoughts, we are choosing our experiences and creating our futures. And we need to remember that our reactions are thoughts, also. Instead of letting our emotions ride on auto-pilot, we can choose to take a breath and take inventory rather than giving in to an impulsive reaction. In this way, our thoughts can lead us in a much more productive direction, one that creates solutions rather than problems

Daily Tarot: The Wheel of Fortune

Restlessness and boredom could slow you down and take you off on some unintended tangent. If you can’t break free of the usual routine today, do what’s necessary and perhaps schedule more delicate tasks for another time when it will be easier to be precise and attend to details. Know your own limits and if possible don’t take on something that will only frustrate you. If you must, start slow.
