Thought For The Day: August 10, 2020 “Stepping Forward”

Happy Monday,

We start the new week with a thought about putting yourself out there. This is just a part of life. In order to experience life, and new experiences we must step forward and try even if we get hit with a little criticism. It is through criticism that we learn and grow. If someone critiques you today take that information and apply it to what you know. Some will have merit and some of it won’t but remember that there will always be at least one good thing that you can put to use. You’ve totally got this!

There will always be haters and shamers with their opinions of how we should look, what we should do and how we should act. It can be hard to deal with particularly if it comes from someone close to us. This quote tells us to always be ourselves. When someone gives advice the key lies in our ability to weed out what is true and what is not. Don’t go belly up and blindly accept critical opinions. Have faith in yourself and in your abilities.

Criticism is part of life. Nobody likes it but it happens anyway. This quote from Aristotle tells us “how” to avoid criticism, but does it really? Living requires us to do things, speak up and make the most of ourselves even though we may be criticized for it. The opinions and judgments of others should hold no sway as we create our lives and work on our personal evolution. Good things happen when we try. Don’t be afraid and never give up!
