We start the new week with a thought about putting yourself out there. This is just a part of life. In order to experience life, and new experiences we must step forward and try even if we get hit with a little criticism. It is through criticism that we learn and grow. If someone critiques you today take that information and apply it to what you know. Some will have merit and some of it won’t but remember that there will always be at least one good thing that you can put to use. You’ve totally got this!
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could control the outcome of every situation in our lives? It would alleviate a lot of stress! However, the truth is that that’s not possible or even realistic. True maturity and wisdom lie in our ability to relinquish control and let things unfold. This will free up our energy and our time so that we can appreciate the tiny miracles that make up our day.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

In times of uncertainty (which we are very certainly in right now), the mind can easily veer toward doom and gloom. Projections into the future or ruminations about the past are natural and normal—but not always helpful. To bring the mind back, mindfulness exercises that root you in the present can be a saving grace.

2. Lumber neatly stacked is a sign of progress and advancement, while beat-up old lumber lying on the ground augurs disappointment, or the need for careful planning in order to avoid disappointment.

EarthSky News: Year’s biggest supermoon on night of April 7-8
In North America, we often call the April full moon the Pink Moon, Grass Moon or Egg Moon. This year, in 2020, this April full moon also presents the closest (and thereby the largest) supermoon of the year. That’s because this full moon more closely coincides with lunar perigee – the moon’s closest point to Earth in its monthly obit – than any other full moon in the year 2020.

Moon water is water which has been charged with the energy of the moon, usually the full moon, which is useful as an ingredient for a wide variety of spells and workings. It is normally made by putting water in a vessel and leaving it overnight where it will be hit by the light of the moon, whether that is in a windowsill or somewhere outside.

Inner Journey:
WISDOM
“…we need to abandon the idea that wisdom is knowing everything-the whys, the wherefores, the how-tos. Wisdom is often more subtle, both far simpler and exceedingly more complex. For wisdom requires the discerning, the listening to, the acknowledgement of nudges and notions, of senses and sensations, of the minute and what we often mistakenly assume is the mundane. Wisdom means listening to the still, small voice, the whisper that can be easily lost in the whirlwind of busyness, expectations, and conventions of the world….”

Can you see me, right now?
Yes — I’m the light, and all it shines on.
Can you hear me?
Yep — every single sound, and the silence, too.
Can you feel me? Right now? In the air on your skin, under your feet, and in the palms of your hands? The tug at your heart, the rhythm it keeps, and the blood in your veins?
Right. Now, next time you have cause for alarm, see me. Next time you need absolutely anything, listen to me. And next time you feel all alone, remember you’re not.

Meaning
“The world is not divine sport; it is divine destiny. There is divine meaning in the life of the world; of man, of human persons, of you and of me.”
-Martin Buber (1878-1965)
Sometimes we just have to pause and ask “why?” Think about it. There are no accidents, there is meaning everywhere. There is this organizing power at work in the world. We have our place in the world, and our tasks to complete. The people we meet, the people we love, are all a part of our lives for a reason. We can learn from all of our experiences, and become better people from living life consciously and meaningfully.

About Cat’s Morning Bits: These daily posts are reblogged from various email newsletters that I receive each day.
My mother had a saying when I was little ” If your mouth is running your ears aren’t working” and our quote today asks us to be still and just listen. We all know a few good listeners, however we also know a few people who are too busy giving advice, voicing opinions and who continually talk over others. Remember, the more we listen, the more we learn and the more we grow. It shows us the way to helping ourselves and helping others. Expand your knowledge base today by observing with your ears!
Today’s quote is a reminder to stop and think before you speak. Ask yourself are my words kind, will they be helpful or hurtful or do I have hidden motivation in them. Just something to ponder…………
Today’s quote goes hand in hand with yesterdays quote about judgement. We are less likely to pass judgement on others when we can step back and look at the situation, feelings, attitudes etc. and remember that we have been there ourselves. This is an ultimate form of wisdom.
We often attribute wisdom to a persons age, however that’s not always the case. Don’t assume that just because a person is older that they are wise. The truth is that some of the wisest people I know are the young. Age doesn’t matter. Weigh the words for yourself. If they have merit take them to heart. If they don’t then take what’s usable and discard the rest, or use none of it. Above all don’t be afraid to use your own wisdom because that’s what will get you the farthest.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.

Spiritual Unite: Pine Tree Symbolism – Protection And Immortality
The pine tree is one of the most recognisable trees in the world.
The Pine Tree is one of the most widely used tree symbolism the world over. The pine tree is about as culturally significant as a tree can get.
Mirka Knaster, fiber and mixed media artist, asks us “How many times have artists thought, while working on a project, ‘Will I ever get this completed?’ How often do we face seemingly unsurmountable obstacles on the path to turning our vision into reality? And when will we reach the level of proficiency and excellence we aspire to?” These questions are familiar to any creative person who has a vision and wants to bring it to life. And what we often lack is patience, a slower tempo, more attentive listening to the nature of the unfolding creation.

How are you sabotaging your potential for change?
We unconsciously use defence mechanisms to shield us from situations we perceive to be scary or painful. A part of you may want to grow and change, but another part may be resisting because change always moves you into new territory in your thinking and emotions.
If you find you are getting anxious, fearful, angry, frustrated, dismissive or unmotivated, then defence mechanisms are at work. Watch for them and know them to be signs of fear that wants to hold you back. Then courageously move through them.

“What you believe yourself to be, you are.”
— Claude M. Bristol
Do you believe, deep down inside of you, that you can succeed in what you want to do?
Beliefs are strong, and they have the power to attract what is believed to us. If we doubt our ability to succeed, if we in fact believe we WON’T succeed, then sure enough, that’s what will happen.
What do you believe about yourself? You have the power to change your beliefs, and that will change your outcome. Set goals you believe you can accomplish. Your beliefs will shape your actions. As you achieve these goals, you’ll begin to believe you are capable of succeeding and of doing even more.

Wisdom
“The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.”
-Solomen Ibn Gabirol (A.D. 1021? – 1069?)
Hard to argue with that, huh? Silence, meditation, time with nature, self-reflection… all of these things lead us to wisdom. Have we taken that first step? Do we listen? Do we remember? Do we practice? Do we teach others? We all know what we must do, yet how often do we really do it? We get so distracted by our daily activities that we forget how important it is to just sit down and be quiet for a change! Yes, it is important – wisdom is important! Wisdom is necessary to lead the kind of lives that we say we want to lead. The first step is silence.

This guide to the most common metaphysical symbols and the meaning to them should serve you well along your journey to enlightenment
“My word of the year is listen. Its one of those words whose meaning is in its music. Listen is a quiet word, that half swallowed L and diffident I and softly hissing S. It defies the clamorous words it absorbs, the words that have defined this year, the shouts and roars, the bray and bluster. Listening is hard when the sounds around us grow mean and ugly. And listening takes particular courage in divisive times.” Nancy Gibbs shares more in this evocative passage

It’s kind of scary, but remember, this is your own environment inside so do whatever you can. Here are a few ways to minimize your exposure to indoor air pollution and breath free

Wisdom
“The invariable mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Since this newsletter is called WisdomNews I thought we’d start off the new year talking about wisdom. Wisdom goes beyond knowledge. We often hear wisdom associated with sages, people who seem to know and understand those things that sometimes have no explanation. Maybe it is recognizing that connection between all things that makes everything miraculous. Wisdom is attainable, all the wisdom of the universe is at hand right now.
