There comes a time when we must sort out the people in our lives. Sometimes we outgrow them. Sometimes we drift apart or sometimes they cause so much drama that it’s just not worth it. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and make you feel good about life and about yourself and who appreciate you doing the same for them. The new year is a good time to sort through your “subscriptions” and cancel the ones that are no longer in your best interest to hang on to.

We all want inner peace and a peaceful life. Today’s quote reminds us that if we truly desire peace that we are responsible for acquiring it for ourselves. if we allow drama and discord to rule our lives we will never have the peace we desire and there comes a time that we must decide what is truly important to us. By eliminating the things that make us upset or angry we find that we have created room for peace to exist. Let go and you will find better things waiting for you.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 10, 2020 “Disconnect From Drama”

Not everyone thrives on drama and in fact we are happier when we can avoid it. However the truth is that we cannot always avoid negative people. When dealing with them remember that you have choices. Sometimes the most difficult is learning to walk away or choosing not to answer that text or phone call. Remember that negativity breeds more negativity and by getting caught up in it it becomes our drama. But when we make a conscious decision to disconnect from it the drama loses its power.

We all people who seem to thrive on drama. They are always instigating it or helping it along and leaving hate and discontent in their wake. We all have a choice when it comes to these people. We can either buy into it or walk away. Your personal inner peace is worth far more than the expensive price of another’s performance.
