Spirit Library: Consider Your Choices (a message from Kate Spreckley)
In times of change and uncertainty we must harness our courage and investigate the unknown. We must move beyond the limits of our normal routines and explore the mystery of the unfamiliar. As we continue to shed the past we free our energy, which enables us to harness the power of our creativity to shift our expression of life.

ThoughtCo: Lammas Craft Projects
Looking for some fun and inexpensive ways to decorate your home for Lammas? Make an easy grapevine pentacle, apple candleholders, a cornhusk chain and Lammas incense as a way to celebrate the season.
MBG: Polarity: What It Is & Why It’s Important For Chakra Balancing
There are seven major energy centers, or chakras, located throughout the body from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. You can think of chakras (Sanskrit for “wheels”) as the links between our energetic and physical bodies. They also speak to the universal life force energy that connects all of us to one another and our environment.

Elephant Journal: I’m Tired of Thinking Positive.
I’m tired of always trying to be a positive thinker.
Thinking positive makes me feel guilty or afraid to have “negative” thoughts because, god forbid, that might bring more negativity into my life, and I already have enough.
Treehugger: How to Forage Like You’re From Finland
In Finland, they have what’s known as everyman’s right, also called the right to roam. People are permitted to camp, swim, bathe, fish and forage in almost all free spaces, even if those spaces are privately owned. That right, along with a history of foraging dating back to World War II, makes Finland’s city parks akin to wild grocery stores.
EarthSky News: Orion the Hunter returns before dawn
Around late July or early August, if you’re up early and have an unobstructed view to the east, be sure to look in that direction in the hour before dawn. You might find a familiar figure – a constellation that always returns to the sky around this time of year. It’s the beautiful constellation Orion the Hunter – recently behind the sun as seen from our earthly vantage point – now ascending once more in the east before sunrise.
Patheos-Pagan: Witchcraft into the Wilds: Working Magic With Nature
My chat this week is all about working with the magic that Mother Nature provides us with, a bit of Witchcraft into the Wilds. Magical energy found within stones, shells, feathers, bones, leaves and thorns.

Capture your inspiration!
“Ideas can come from anywhere and at any time. The problem with making mental notes is that the ink fades very rapidly.”
— Rolf Smith
Insights and inspiration come to us for a reason. Don’t let them disappear on you!
When a great idea pops into your mind, write it down and capture it. Keep a mini-journal or piece of paper with you at all times.
Reflect on your insights. How might you anchor this great idea so it enhances your life?
“Everyone who has ever taken a shower has had an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off, and does something about it that makes a difference.”
— Nolan Bushnell
A Note from the Universe
Whoops… I did it again. Took a little nap, had a few dreams, and worlds were born. Planets spun and cooled. Continents rose and fell. And civilizations clashed and united.
Actually, it’s quite good fun. But I also dreamed I was you. And in that dream, for a spell, I didn’t remember I was also the Universe.
It was frightful, actually. Just about scared me to death until, as you, I slowly remembered who I was. And in those waking moments, it was as if the earth shook, the seas danced, and the skies rejoiced almost as much as myself. As if they were waking up, too. It was the most beautiful, sublime, intoxicating rush of pure joy I think I’ve ever known.
How I wish I could tell you more. But like a farmer eager for the new crop, any rush to harvest would spoil the yield. Besides, words would utterly fail me.
Today’s Recipe: Keema Aloo (Ground Beef and Potatoes)
If you want to try something a little different, I guarantee you will love this meal. It is by far my favorite Indian recipe. Inspired by my mom, who still makes this for me to this day.

“The style is the man himself.”
-George-Louis de Buffon (1707-1788)
This quote is talking about writing style. He is saying that the style in which a person writes is how his personality shines through. Look at how many times, and how many ways, we have heard the same spiritual lessons. There are so many good spiritual teachers out there, with books and videos and classes and ministries. And yet they’re really essentially all saying the same thing when it comes down to it! But we each respond differently because we have different styles of our own, and different styles resonate with us in different ways. Said with a certain style we hear the messages better, understand them more, relate to them more personally.
Daily Tarot: The Pope
People may look to you to get some enthusiasm back into their lives. If sagging a little in spirit yourself, you can still inspire others. This can cheer you up, too, so don’t underestimate a small glimmer of joy in something that you genuinely love. No one has to agree with you. They only have to allow you to do what feels best to you – and you to them.
