O Winter, ruler of the inverted year,
Thy scattered hair with sleet like ashes filled,
Thy breath congealed upon they lips, thy cheeks
Fringed with a beard made white with other snows.
-William Cowper (1731-1800)
Spiritual Unite: Higher Realms Of Existence – A New Energy Coming
In total, there are twelve realms of existence or dimensions of consciousness.
Most of the time, we are only really concerned with our physical world – but there are higher realms of existence that we encounter during our journeys
Daily Good: Against Self-Righteousness
Maria Popova shares insights on Anne Lamott’s latest offering – “Almost Everything” Notes on Hope. How do we see past the illusions of polarity of right and wrong? Can we let go of these tightly held convictions that keep us small and separate and move into more mindfulness of our shared living beingness? It starts by bringing our awareness, curiosity and forgiveness – what we are designed for to the forefront. Let us come to terms with the truth – and be with it all, the irritating and the comforting, the hard, the gentle, our hearts both broken and pure.
Tetrakyts: All About Spirit Guides Part 1: The Six Different Types
Hello witches! Welcome to the first blog post of 2019 on our website! I am starting the new year with a blog series dedicated to Spirit Guides. I already mentioned them a lot in my previous articles, but I never wrote a whole article on the subject. Since there are so many things to cover, I broke it in multiple parts. In this first article, you will learn about the 6 different types of Spirit Guides

MNN: Drawing can help you think and focus better — even if you’re not good at it
Do you ever draw? Most of us don’t, and the reason we usually leave drawing to the artists is because we’re not very good at it. Who wants to do something they’re bad at?
But maybe we should rethink this assumption, especially since drawing has so many benefits, artist or not
EarthSky News: A winding river of stars called Eridanus
Tonight, you’ll need a very dark sky in order to see Eridanus the River. You won’t see this one from the city, or even the suburbs. Eridanus the River begins near the star Rigel in the constellation Orion the Hunter – and wells up in a great loop before ambling back down toward the southern horizon
Patheos-Pagan: Building a Devotional Practice with the Sea
High Days come and go eight times a year. Devotional practices can happened much more regularly, even on a daily basis. What can someone do if they want to develop a monthly, weekly, or daily practice? This series of articles will investigate building a devotional practice with the Three Realms, namely, Land, Sea, and Sky. We will look at Lunar-based devotional practices when we discuss the Sky realm. This is part of our continuing focus on devotional practice
BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN SUCCESS
“What you believe yourself to be, you are.”
— Claude M. Bristol
Do you believe, deep down inside of you, that you can succeed in what you want to do?
Beliefs are strong, and they have the power to attract what is believed to us. If we doubt our ability to succeed, if we in fact believe we WON’T succeed, then sure enough, that’s what will happen.
What do you believe about yourself? You have the power to change your beliefs, and that will change your outcome. Set goals you believe you can accomplish. Your beliefs will shape your actions. As you achieve these goals, you’ll begin to believe you are capable of succeeding and of doing even more.
“It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in so doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility.”
— Albert Einstein
“Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.”
— Dr. David Schwartz
A Note from the Universe
Oh yeah, regarding your ancient spiritual contracts, that outlined every facet of the life you now lead? Well, just wanted to remind you that they’re all re-written every dawn, and perpetually updated as each day unfolds.
Proving yet again that nothing is meant to be, that you are truly unlimited, and that anything can happen next, if you choose it.

“The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.”
-Solomen Ibn Gabirol (A.D. 1021? – 1069?)
Hard to argue with that, huh? Silence, meditation, time with nature, self-reflection… all of these things lead us to wisdom. Have we taken that first step? Do we listen? Do we remember? Do we practice? Do we teach others? We all know what we must do, yet how often do we really do it? We get so distracted by our daily activities that we forget how important it is to just sit down and be quiet for a change! Yes, it is important – wisdom is important! Wisdom is necessary to lead the kind of lives that we say we want to lead. The first step is silence.
