And all the woods are alive with the murmur and sound of Spring,
And the rose-bud breaks into pink on the climbing briar,
And the crocus-bed is a quivering moon of fire
Girdled round with the belt of an amethyst ring.
-Oscar Wilde (1854-1900)

Spiritual Unite: Lightworkers: What Are The Symptoms?

If you have ever asked yourself “What is a lightworker?”, or want to know the symptoms and signs of being a lightworker, then you have come to the right place. Today, we’re going to look at the signs and symptoms of lightworkers. But first: What is a lightworker? What Is A Lightworker? A lightworker is a soul incarnated on Earth

MNN: This rare songbird is back from the brink, thanks to the Endangered Species Act

The United States has watched some iconic native birds disappear during the past 100 years or so, including the passenger pigeon, the Carolina parakeet, the heath hen, the dusky seaside sparrow and possibly the ivory-billed woodpecker.

The Kirtland’s warbler almost joined them, driven to the brink of extinction last century by habitat loss and nest parasites. Its decline was so dramatic that it became one of the original species listed under the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) in 1967.

EarthSky News: Green moon on April 20, 2018? Nah

For weeks, people have searched for this post more than any other at EarthSky.  No, there won’t be a green moon on April 20, 2018. It’s a joke, y’all, with its roots (ahem) in cannabis culture. 🙂

Patheos-Pagan:  Have You Ever Been Called To a Place?

Have you ever been called to a place? A place you heard, without a doubt, beckon you to move there? With no seeming connection or reason to do so?

I moved to Asheville (North Carolina) around three years ago. Having moved most of my childhood between the New York area and North Carolina, I had spent most of my adult years firmly rooted in one place. Once my sons were grown, I felt that restless pull to try life in a different place

Inner Journey: Inner Critics

“We tell ourselves so many lies and half-truths … We listen and are duly impressed by these inner voices that turn into unseen judges that nag at us. We give each of these judges a seat of honor in our minds, all the while hating their guts and their never-ending supply of judgements … We give the judges permission to accompany us on each journey of life, never daring to realize that we can park them, at least momentarily.”
— Eloise Ristad

“The Inner Critic makes each of us a child. As we become the child in our relationships, we lose our sense of self. We are no longer self-contained, self- respecting adults. We look to others for validation. Our self-worth is based upon their opinion of us. Thus, everyone around us becomes a mother or a father whose support and approval is desperately needed to protect us from the constant criticism of the Inner Critic.”
— Hal and Sidra Stone

Daily Wisdom

“To a large degree “reality” is whatever the people who are around at the time agree to.” ~ -Milton H. Miller

Basically, the consensus of social perception is what shapes our “reality.” What we see in the media is a reflection of what the general population has “agreed” is “the way things are.” But… things are changing! There is a subtle shift towards a more spiritual life. Sociologists have recognized a growing number of people as “Cultural Creatives” who are leaders in developing all kinds of trends. All of us out there reading spiritual books, doing yoga, serving the community, showing kindness and pursuing our own spiritual growth – we are the cultural creatives! By sharing ourselves and our experiences, we are making a difference in the world… and the difference is good!
