To change, we must go through a transition zone. It’s not easy being in transition. Thoughts, beliefs and habits are all in flux. It can create a sense of groundlessness, of being in a void that can be quite uncomfortable.

When we’re in the void, our first impulse will be to revert to old habits because they feel comfortable. Our goal is to hang in there until the change is complete. Knowing that TRANSITIONS ARE PART OF THE CHANGE PROCESS helps us muster the courage to put up with the discomfort, the uneasiness, the void.

Change requires a letting go of what we’ve always known and done to allow in something new. We need to trust ourselves and higher forces to unfold a new reality for us.

But when it comes around to where it last overtook Neptune, the much more distant planet has moved slowly on. So Jupiter overtakes Neptune about 8.5 months later. The last heliocentric conjunction of these two planets was September 19, 2009, the next one will be February 18, 2035.

Some people say that we can’t choose our parents or our children, but we can choose our friends. I don’t know if that is entirely true. I think there is some reason we have the family that we have, either by divine agreement or for learning purposes. I also think that our friends are our friends for a reason, too. We’re making choices all the time, and our friends are making choices, too. And somehow, those choices brought us together. And because we are brought together, we grow. We experience more of what life is about. Understanding is huge! To find a friend who truly understands is a magnificent gift.
