Spirit Library: Your Centre of Gravity is Shifting (a message from Kate Spreckley)
The energies of this year have catapulted us into reviewing and transforming many of our values, attitudes, relationships and life experiences. Unconsciously and consciously, we have been expanded into new ways of thinking, being and living
Yule falls around December 20 – 22 in the northern hemisphere, and if you’re below the equator, it’s around June 20 – 22 each year. No matter what belief system you may follow, this time of year is typically known as a season of fire and light, of family and friends, and of peace, hope, and joy
Study the assumptions behind your actions. Then study the assumptions behind your assumptions.

This work assumes you’ve already created blessing water. If you haven’t already created it, do that before doing this work. The blessing water is what will be used to feed the blessing hand. If you’re incorporating moon phases into your blessing hand work, make sure to begin this work on the new moon.
“He who would be serene and pure needs but one thing, detachment.” — Meister Eckhart
We are the ocean — vast, deep, powerful and rich. Nourishing and nurturing. Dive down into the dark stillness of being. Sense the rising and falling of surface thoughts and emotions, sometimes gentle, sometimes violent. Always shifting. Always in motion. Draw back and watch the waves of your life at play. Know you are the unfathomable depths — surface agitations can’t disturb you. Know that you are bigger than the little things that aggravate you.

A Note from the Universe
You do know, of course, why you’re here don’t you?
Because you couldn’t resist the challenge!
Nothing in all creation, not in any sphere of the universe, compares to being born into time and space without any recollection of your past. Having to find your own way when lost, your own courage when frightened, and the infinite powers at your disposal when challenged. Left to the elements to rediscover your supremacy over them.
Driven by your passions so that you might rise above your humble, naked beginnings and ultimately see through the illusions that have trapped you. To find yourself once again high upon the throne of thy Kingdom come, from whence it all began.
Walking on sunshine,
The Universe

Morning “How beautiful, how buoyant, and glad is morning!”
-L.E. Landon, 1933
Good morning! Reading positive messages is a great way to start the day, getting centered, remembering what is important. The break of day represents a kind of optimism. There is a newness, a freshness, as if time starts all over again. No matter what has happened the day before, we know the sun will come up and shine its light on us today

Daily Tarot: The Devil
Some days you just want to be self-indulgent, and today is one of those days. Put those feelings on the back burner while at work or out in public. After the serious part of the day is over, the danger actually increases for you. Don’t overindulge and make yourself sick or regretful. Sometimes too much of a good thing is too much, and you want to start tomorrow feeling good

ThoughtCo: Profile of The Greek God Poseidon
In Greek mythology and legend, Poseidon is the god of the sea. However, his domain includes some aspects of the land as well, and in fact he is known as “earth-shaker” in many stories, because of his penchant for causing earthquakes. Poseidon was responsible, according to Greek legend, for the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, which was all but destroyed by a giant quake and tsunami.

Poor neighborhoods in India typically have low literacy rates because residents do not have the resources necessary to educate their children. 9-year-old Muskaan Ahirwar is working to change this in her impoverished neighborhood in Bhopal. In January 2016, she opened a library outside her house to give kids free access to books and a place to read. She started with just a few books and now has several hundred from around the world. Her library gets 25 visitors a day and the kids play knowledge games and hold competitions to see who can read the most. The library has given those kids who used to wander the streets a place to go and read regularly. “Whoever has the drive to learn, they should start their own library and start learning, and study like us and get ahead in life” says Muskaan. { read more }
Natural Living Ideas: 13 Uses For Tea Tree Oil That Will Change Your Life
Not to be confused with an extract of the tea plant (Camellia sinensus), tea tree oil is distilled from the leaves of the Australian tea tree (Melalenca alternifolia.) Although it is highly toxic when ingested, thanks to its antibiotic, anti-fungal, antiseptic, expectorant and antiviral properties, tea tree oil has a surprising number of topical uses which can help cure or prevent a whole host of everyday maladies, which is why it is often referred to as a “medicine cabinet in a bottle.”
Elephant Journal: 12 Dr. Seuss Quotes to remind us of the Messiness & Magic of Life.
Like many of us, I grew up on Dr. Seuss.
My parents would frequently read aloud The Sneetches, Green Eggs and Ham, and The Lorax, among others. We would watch the animated version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” every Christmas Eve. And when I spoke at my high school graduation, I ended my speech with an excerpt from Oh, The Places You’ll Go.

“Smell is a potent wizard that transports us across thousands of miles and all the years we have lived.”
— Helen Keller
Many of us are so wrapped up in our thinking and activity that we have lost touch with our senses. Sensing brings us fully into the moment. Only when we are aware and conscious can we receive the gifts of experience our senses continually bring us.
Today, set an intention to be aware of smells. Focus on your nose and awaken to its sensitivity. As you smell more consciously, let go of your judgment of the aromas. Don’t label them good or bad; simply experience them for their individual qualities. Also note when smells revive old memories.
“When you start using senses you’ve neglected, your reward is to see the world with completely fresh eyes.”

Language
“How did language develop? In much the same way as an economic order develops through the market – out of the voluntary interaction of individuals, in this case seeking to trade ideas or information or gossip rather than goods and services with one another.”
-Milton Friedman and Rose Friedman, 1979
Whatever language we speak, it’s our way of communicating with one another. Language is a means of translating our feelings and emotions into words so that we can be understood. When we can master a language, then we can be more clearly understood, and we can more clearly understand, too. There’s always more to learn, about words, and about each other.

Daily Tarot: The Pope
People may look to you to get some enthusiasm back into their lives. If sagging a little in spirit yourself, you can still inspire others. This can cheer you up, too, so don’t underestimate a small glimmer of joy in something that you genuinely love. No one has to agree with you. They only have to allow you to do what feels best to you – and you to them.
