It’s Valentine’s Day and today’s thought asks us to be our own valentine. Self-love is important to our mental and emotional well being. It brings us both strength and courage. Remember that whatever you have gone through or are going through you are a beautiful, amazing being. You are worthy of love from others and from yourself. Shine and sparkle and surround yourself with loving compassion. You are of this and so much more!
Our thought to start the new week is from my mother. Well…. actually it’s from watching my mother. Mom’s a very giving person, she loves to help especially during the holiday season. Each time she puts something in the Salvation Army Kettle you can just see her sparkle and it’s kinda cool to watch! The message here is that acts of kindness no matter how small just make us feel good. It can turn your day around, make you feel good about yourself and bring joy to someone else all at the same time!
This quote is pretty spot on! Everyday we’re faced with choices, and our choice of people is one of them. Life is too short to hang with the “Negative Nellies” of the world. Make it a priority to choose people who lift you up, make you laugh, and add their crazy sparkle to yours! Choices are everywhere so make the best, most fulfilling ones that you can! Have a fantastic weekend!
Our thought for the day is from one of my favorite people, Robin Williams. Simply put, always be yourself. Let the world see the crazy, beautiful, unique individual that you are. When you embrace your spark you show others that it’s okay to embrace theirs as well. Don’t allow anyone to douse your spark, and believe me there are those who will try. “Spark- dousers” operate on levels of jealousy which stems from their own fear of being an individual instead of a another “sheeple” following the flock. Do you remember lighting sparklers as kid? You ran through the yard carrying your little beacon of light and making unique trails and patterns in the dark………… that’s the joy that can be found in embracing your spark!
