Spiritual Unite: Astral Projection vs Lucid Dreaming | What’s The Difference?

Astral Projection Vs Lucid Dreaming: The topic of astral projection and lucid dreaming is a perplexing one. Many people make unsubstantiated claims of knowing the in-depth meanings of these two terms. Lucid dreamers often have a preference for their talents and condone astral projection altogether. The same can be said for astral projectors.

MBG: Why Clearing Space At Home Is So Important (And How It’s Done, According To Feng Shui)

Space clearing is a way to shake up the stagnant energy in a space. And according to feng shui philosophy, when you clear your home, you create freedom and openness in the rest of your life too.

Space clearing is quite literally decluttering the energy in your life, and the practice has gone mainstream in recent years. (By now, Im guessing almost all of us have come across sage sticks, gorgeous crystals, and maybe some chimes and Tibetan bowls.) One thing people don’t realize about space clearing is that it can be practical as well as mystical

A Bountiful Moment

In all the history in the world there has never been anyone else exactly like you, and in all the infinity of time to come, there will never be another. ~Amram Scheinfeld

Daily Thought: Remember how special and unique you are. You are one of a kind and no-one else can replace or do the things you are inspired and meant to accomplish. Those thing are yours and yours alone to do. You are the only one who has the power and characteristics to complete your dreams. And your dreams accomplished translate to the good for all.

Daily Practice: Remember throughout your day how special you are. Celebrate you in small ways by telling yourself, rewarding yourself, or just thinking about your personal greatness. Don’t be afraid or shy away from this task. Celebrate you!

Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!

MNN: How this bug photographer is changing the future for bees

It’s a wonderful thing to capture beautiful images of nature. But it’s an exceptionally wonderful thing if those beautiful images can become a protective force for the very nature you’re photographing. That’s what conservation photographers strive for.

And photographer Clay Bolt has managed to achieve just such a goal through his photographs of bees and other wildlife. For example, Bolt’s images of the rusty-patched bumblebee were a critical part of getting the species onto the U.S. endangered species list, a first for native North American bee species.

Patheos-Pagan: Adventures In Beltaning

How do you Beltane? Is it even a verb? Solitary practitioner, always in groups, a mix of the two? Does it include a viewing of The Wicker Man? All these adventures and more can be yours. ’tis the season!

“It’s always Beltane in our hearts.” That’s one of the first things I heard when I moved to the magical land of Asheville a few years ago. This Beltane festival, what is it, I wondered?

Inner Journey: Are You Afraid To Be Different?

On the path of evolution, we move from being a willing and obedient member of the group to wanting to take control over our own lives. This is a necessary but difficult transition.

Andrew Schneider says, “At this point we are afraid of being ourselves. We are afraid of being unique and different. We are afraid of being individually powerful, and even successful. For all of these things stand against the old ways that told us that conformity was right and individualism was wrong.”

“For as long as we possibly can, we make a compromise. We try to live both lives – the dependent tribal life and the independent personal life – as contradictory and opposite as they are.

“We want approval from others. We want to be accepted and popular. We seek this comfort to overcome our fear and feel more secure. …So, at times when we conform, we don’t feel the fear of living. But we might lose the new sense of adventure, discovery, daring and enthusiasm for life that the questioning and questing have brought us.”

“Nature never repeats herself, and the possibilities of one human soul will never be found in another.”
— Elizabeth Cady Stanton

A Note from the Universe

Expecting “end results” – such as wealth and abundance, health and harmony, friends and laughter – in broad brushstrokes, is part of the secret formula for manifesting the life of your dreams.

Expecting your path to follow a certain route – such as writing a bestseller to accumulate wealth, having a particular someone fall in love with you, or insisting upon this idea, that diet, or the other invention to be your deliverance – is just plain messing with the cursed hows and severely limits my options.

Cool?

Practice

“Never bring the car home without gas in the tank.” -Ron Shelton

Our spiritual practice is as essential to our soul as food is to our body. Practice provides us with the fuel which gets us through those difficult times. It leads us to peace, clarity, wisdom, and so much more. And just like a car, we can run out of “gas” when we’re stressed out from going for a lot of miles without a break. Make it a point to incorporate your spiritual practices into your day every day, and watch the difference in how you feel.

Birds & Blooms: The Backyard Benefits of a Moon Garden

Most of us notice how gorgeous gardens are when the sun is shining, but how often do we see what a garden looks like at night? Between dusk and dawn, when moonlight illuminates the plants, visitors can enjoy unique insight into a garden’s personality.

Night pollinators such as moths, native bees and bats are attracted to plants in a moon garden with white and pale-colored flowers that are intensely fragrant and produce a lot of nectar. As you walk through the moon garden, you will be able to watch these varied and industrious third-shift pollinators as they go about their important work.

Pioneer Thinking: Plants For May

Summer is finally on its way and the garden is beginning to burst with colour. Here are just a few of the plants you might like to choose to make your garden really stand out this month.

Aquilegia or Grannies Bonnet is a very common cottage garden plant that some people even consider a weed. However, there are some really beautiful varieties of this stunning little plant that should have a place in every herbaceous border. Nora Barlow is a very old variety that has tight buds of apple green, a colour which stays on the tip of the petals as they unfurl into a ball of pink and white flowers. This variety is not only pretty but also makes a good cut flower. There is a black version called Black Barlow

Inner Journey: Awareness Through Love and Fear

“There is nothing holier in this life of ours than the first consciousness of love — the first fluttering of its silken wings — the first rising sound and breath of that wind which is so soon to sweep through the soul, to purify or to destroy.”
— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Our inner journey takes us through the following stages relative to love and fear:

1.UNCONSCIOUS LOVE: When we are born, we exist as pure love but we are not conscious of our love.
2.UNCONSCIOUS FEAR: Our souls have set the stage for our evolution. As we grow, unconscious fears arise in our personalities that draw experiences to us that wound us.
3.CONSCIOUS FEAR: Our wounds bring pain and suffering that enable us to become conscious of our fears.
4.CONSCIOUS LOVE: When we’ve suffered enough pain, we are motivated to move through our fears to consciously experience the love that supports all.

“Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition.”
— Alexander Smith

Practice

“Whoever perseveres will be crowned.” -Johann Gottfried von Herder (German author, 1744-1803)

Remember the old joke, “How do you get to Carnegie Hall?” The punchline is “Practice, practice, practice!” Funny, but oh, so true! How do we reach that peace of mind, how do we get to that spiritual place that we’re looking for? The answer is the same: Practice, practice, practice! We’re going to get better at seeing ourselves as who we really are the more we practice actually being it. Whatever practice you choose, practice on a regular basis, practice every day, twice a day or more so.

MBG: 6 Myths & Misconceptions About Medical Marijuana

We’re currently in the middle of a cannabis revolution. Slowly but surely the plant which was once dispensed at U.S. pharmacies and used as a legitimate medicine as recently as the 1930s has fought its way back into a positive light after years of being maligned as a dangerous, corrupting influence. State by state we are joining the long list of countries who have embraced the healing powers of this plant and stopped jailing people for growing, selling, and using it.

Inner Journey: The Eyes of the Soul

Today, we want to share a passage from Martia Nelson’s book, ‘Coming Home’:
“My greatest teacher was the experience of living in split realities: personality and true self. Personality is our daily companion, our conscious self that sees the world through the eyes of limitation and dutifully keeps us informed about what we can and cannot do. True self, on the other hand, patiently stands by, offering the unwavering knowledge that a state of vibrant well- being and unlimited possibility is our true nature, a birthright that can be lived if we choose to do so. … True self simply refers to the aspect of our being that is completely aware of its expanded nature no matter what we may be experiencing at the time.”

Whenever we feel constrained, fearful, unworthy, inadequate or anything we deem to be negative, we have identified with our personality. We can always choose to view the same situation from the perspective of our soul.

“As a Witness, you begin to discover that you are not that which you have been observing; you are not those things that you have been noticing about your body. Instead, you are the noticer.”
— Wayne Dyer

Practice

“We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” ~-Mahatma Gandhi

Our spiritual practice has purpose. It helps us to learn and grow and feel our connection with the Divine. And it also helps to lift the spiritual energy of the whole planet! The more people who devote time to spiritual practice, the better off our world will be. So, there are two things we can each do, every day, to help ourselves and each other.

1. Continue regular spiritual practices. This includes prayer, meditation, reading spiritual works, serving others, and giving of our time and talents.
2. Encourage others to spend time pursuing their own spiritual practices. This may mean babysitting some youngsters so their mother can spend some time in silence, or sending enlightening e-mails on to friends!

Beliefnet: Daily Blessings in Disguise

There are so many expectations that are packed into a day. From getting the kids to school in the morning to making a decision as to whats for dinner, each day seems to have an endless list of to-dos. And the hustle and bustle infiltrates a cloud that engulfs our day-to-day, making it difficult to come up for air and recognize the many blessings that embody our life each day. In most cases, we take these blessings for granted because theyve become second nature to us and have become a necessary standard of life. However, its important to take a moment each day and remember the small things.
