The mellow moon, the changing leaves,
The earlier setting sun,
Proclaim at last, my merry boys,
The harvest-time begun.

ThoughtCo: Mars, Roman God of War
Mars is the Roman god of war, and scholars say he was one of the most commonly worshiped deities in ancient Rome. Because of the nature of Roman society, nearly every healthy patrician male had some connection to the military, so it is logical that Mars was highly revered throughout the Empire
Tetraktys: Glamour Magick & Self Care for Witches: How to Have a Magickal Beauty Routine
Hello witches! Let’s talk about beauty magick! I was reluctant to write about that topic because there is a lot of misinformation about it. For instance, on the internet you can find all kinds of “spells” that are supposed to change your eye color or make you loose weight.

Elephant Journal: Taking God Back from Religion
Nature is my church and love my religion, yet quietly and powerfully I still believe in God.
So why are so many of us afraid to speak up and use the G word publicly? Are we in fear of being labeled as religious or attached to the ancient texts twisted into dogma?
MNN: Infamous pirate was also one of the world’s most influential naturalists
When you think of a pirate, you probably imagine a rum-swilling, eyepatch-wearing, parrot-adorned, peg-legged, doubloon-hoarding thief. You probably don’t imagine a scholar, writer and renowned explorer-naturalist who Charles Darwin referred to as his friend.
EarthSky News: Tonight, find the Andromeda galaxy
Tonight, since the moon is waning and gone from the sky in early evening, find the Andromeda galaxy, the great spiral galaxy next door to our Milky Way. It’s the most distant thing you can see with your eye alone. It’s best seen in the evening at this time of year, assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere

RAISE YOUR AWARENESS
“Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.”
— Albert Einstein
Take awareness to new levels. Explore experiencing yourself in the act of being aware. Be aware of awareness itself. To do this, we need to go beyond our old mechanical patterns, compulsions and rejections. We need to uproot the arrogance of ego.
Higher awareness is conscious of spirit and form working together. We must be conscious and present within before we can tune in to the guidance of our soul. Develop awareness to hear the subtlest whispers of intuition through your thoughts, feelings and sensations.
“Most of us are in touch with our intuition whether we know it or not, but we’re usually in the habit of doubting or contradicting it so automatically that we don’t even know it has spoken.”
— Shakti Gawain

“I never taught language for the purpose of teaching it; but invariably used language as a medium for the communication of thought; thus learning of language was coincident with the acquisition of knowledge.”
-Anne Sullivan (1866-1936)
When my older son was going into his junior year in high school, he started to study for the SAT tests and doing all the preparation that he has to do to get ready because those scores are so important when it comes to applying to colleges. When I spoke with a tutor about it, he said that students who are well-read typically do better on the test. That is because they develop a larger vocabulary, and a broader base of general knowledge. That makes sense to me. When we read we learn, and when we learn we expand our use of language.
Daily Tarot: The Star
You can make today memorable purely by the strength of your unfailing hope for all things to work out for the best. No matter how muddled the events of the day, how confused or how many mixed messages people give you, especially at work, your innate hopeful spirit will cut through most of the mist and give you good results. Look forward to many satisfying encounters, however little or much gets done.
