We are creatures of our emotions ( both positive and negative) and sometimes its the smallest emotions hold the greatest power. This happens because we can more easily ignore or dismiss them without truly acknowledging them. Then one day we realize that these small things have become big things that are leading us around and dictating what we think, say and do. Ask yourself …………….. “Who is captaining my emotional ship?”

Our thought for today reminded me of that well known quote “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.”  Everyday life hands us things that are good, bad and everything in between and sometimes we have to take what life hands us and simply make the best of it. We have choices as to how we handle life. We can be angry or hurt over things that happen or we can look for that one good thing. How will you cope today?

Thought For The Day: Dec. 5, 2019 “Someday”

Happy Thursday,

We all have thoughts about “someday”. “Someday I’m going to….” “Someday I’m going to be….” Someday I’ll have….” When we live in the Realm of Someday our dreams and goals tend to get to put off. We think “I have time” or “It’s not the right time… yet” or “I don’t have the time right now.” Start creating those dreams and goals today. Start small, the important thing is to start,  and build from there and you’ll find that someday happens a lot faster.

Thought For The Day: Dec. 4, 2019 ” Setting The Tone”

Happy Wednesday,

Tone of voice. The way we respond to questions, requests, greetings, etc can set the tone for the day or a single encounter. I will admit that there are times when a certain tone of voice is needed and necessary. However, while we are not always thrilled to do something or talk to someone, doing our best to be pleasant in most situations can eliminate a lot of problems that shouldn’t be problems in the first place.

We are all amazing people who are capable of great things. However too often we allow ourselves to be damaged by the negative opinions or words of others or worse the negative thoughts we heap upon ourselves. When we let this happen and take those words to heart we begin to doubt or even dislike ourselves. This is a trap that we all fall into at some point in our lives. Remember, your thoughts, feelings, abilities, and YOU have value. You are an amazing person with so much to share. When in doubt look within and find “One Good Thing” and build from it.
