Thought For The Day: Nov. 19, 2018 “I See You”

Happy Monday,

Sometimes it feels like the people closest to us don’t really “see” us. Then out of the blue someone comes along who recognizes our struggle. They can be a person you know or  even someone you don’t. But they “see” you. They offer compassion, protection and above all else friendship. Never be afraid to let someone in because you never know peace, comfort or help will come from.

Happy Friday!

We all have the ability to lift others up. The importance of this can be seen during times of failure. We can all can see when someone is struggling with something yet trying their best to fix it or make things better. Although we may not be able to actually help them there is something that we can do. We can offer words of encouragement. While this may seem like a small thing, these words of encouragement will last far longer and mean more than any words of praise.

*or …. learn from what has happened and fix the issue.

Being at peace with ourselves and with our lives is important. It’s ok to take a look back at the past or ahead at the future. But we can’t dwell in these places long term because peace cannot be found there. Look to the present and embrace the peace it holds.

We all have people that we turn to when we need a mental, emotional or spiritual lift. Quite often we simply need to think about these people when times are rough. They can be a friend or family member, a mentor, a teacher or a personal hero. Today, meditate on whoever bring you peace, guidance or just soothes your spirit.

We all have things that we are afraid of. Personally, doing new things is one of my biggest fears. However when I persevere and get through it I usually discover that it wasn’t as bad or traumatic as I thought it would be. The point is that unless we are willing to face our fears (whether they are big ones or small ones) we are holding ourselves back. Push your limits today and grow!
