As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.
-Laurence Binyon (1869-1943)
Spiritual Unite: Peacock Feathers Bad Luck | Myth Debunked
Peacock feathers bad luck or superstition? In spirituality, the Peacock holds a sacred place. It is regarded as a symbol of protection, spirituality, intuition and transformation. Not only does it protect us from external dangers, but it also safeguards us from within. Our emotions, subconscious and consciousness.
MBG: Believe It Or Not, I’m Grateful For My Anxiety. Here’s Why
As a young psychologist, I was taught to tell my anxious clients they’d suffer from panic attacks their whole lives. Yet as someone who suffered from high-functioning anxiety, I can tell you that you can learn to master your mind. Yes, there will be moments when you tumble down an existential rabbit hole, but you can learn to find your way back out again and enjoy the good times without the ever-present fear of anxiety’s return.
Elephant Journal: Overwhelmed? Learn the Ancient Practice of Pratyahara
Are you in control of your senses, or are they in control of you?
For most of us, our senses are in control in an attempt to ward off any rejection or disappointment while boosting joy, happiness, and stimulation when good things happen.
MNN: 14 Dogs that really love sticks
Many dogs love sticks. For some, it’s the thrill of the chase when the stick is thrown. Others just like the satisfaction of gnawing on wood. And some just like carrying around their prize like a trophy. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that sticks look a lot like bones. What’s not to love?
EarthSky News: 3rd of this season’s 3 full moons May 29
May 29, 2018 ushers in the third of this season’s three full moons. In this case, when we say season, we mean the time period between an equinox and solstice. The March equinox was March 20. We had full moons on March 31, and April 30, and now this May 29 full moon.
Patheos-Pagan: Life Lessons from Artemis: Aim for the Heart
She was revered as compassionate to those in crisis and revealed herself to those needing her help. From the stories of Atalanta and Iphigenia, we learn that Artemis was a goddess who set things right. In all these ways, she aimed for the heart through merciful arrows or letting others speak their truth and live on.
IT’S A MATTER OF BALANCE.
“My soul is the bridge between spirit and body and, as such, is a uniter of opposites. …Without soul at center, I would either transcend into spirit or become mired in matter.”
— Marion Woodman
Ram Dass talks of how his first spiritual goal was to be rid of his physical existence. He came to understand, though, that our spirituality lies in bringing higher consciousness to our world of form. When we can do so, we can delight in all aspects of creation.
Soul exists in the balance of spirit and matter. For a soulful life, we pay attention to both, seeing spiritual qualities in material forms. As our awareness grows, we begin to use consciousness to influence and create form. It’s through form that our spirit expresses.
“Walk in balance with one foot in your spiritual understanding and one foot in your physical world of accomplishment.”
— Lynn V. Andrews
A Note from the Universe
So many claim to believe.
So here’s what I’m going to start asking them: If you really believed you were guided, wouldn’t you begin listening?
And if you really believed you were powerful, wouldn’t every true desire be followed by action?
And if you really believed your life was about to be transformed, wouldn’t the celebration have already begun?
That ought to stir up their coffee, huh?
Today’s Recipe: Vegan French Toast with Strawberry Compote
This is an egg and dairy free French toast that has a crispy outside and custardy middle. Flax and nut milk are used in place of eggs and milk. Use any type of bread you like (I used sourdough here). You can add a bit of cinnamon in the mix if you like, but I wanted the homemade strawberry compote to shine.

“Stay present. You’ll always have time to worry later on if you want to.” -Dan Millman
Do we worry because we want to? If everything is a choice, and it is, then why would we choose to worry? When we stay present, we can’t be worried, because this moment is all there is. One moment at a time, we allow ourselves to see the perfection of the Universe, in all its glory! The present moment is where we are, it’s where we find out who we really are.
